Reviews on International food in Lugano, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. Perfectly positioned on a lake with the Alps at its back, lucky Lugano has a little bit of everything. Ride a cable car up Monte San Salvatore or Monte Bre for sunny panoramas of lake, rivers, mountains and red-roofed buildings. Explore the town's churches, cathedrals and the expressive and colorful Piazza della Riforma. Sample some slow-cooked Ticinese cuisine, explore the lake on a boat or spend the day at the lido with its Olympic-sized pool.

Right in the heart of Lugano, the Grand Café Al Porto Restaurant delight its guests at any time of day. Start the day with an aromatic "espresso", a nice breakfast or a delight from the Confiserie Al Porto. At lunchtime be tempted by the "Flavours of the
We stopped here three times during our visit for breakfast, a light snack and coffee/dessert. Outside is great for people watching and enjoying coffee and dessert, inside is elegant for breakfast and the restaurant is a lovely place for light lunch. Friendly service and everything was tasty and the price reasonable. Recommend

avoid this place if you want to enjoy good food in a quiete surrounding. In this restaurant the noice level makes it difficult to have a normal conversation without screaming. However, the quality of food is good (expecially meet) and also the service is friendly and competent.Dear n0rbert07,to begin with, thank you for being our guest and for having found time for dedicating us this review which, as every feedback does, gives us hints that are extremely useful for improving our service to the customer.Yes, the format of our restaurant/bar is: a metropolitan atmosphere in the quiet Canton of Ticino, a crowded place with music, good food, beverage, stylish design and good service. We never say we do something different than this, so why give us 3* / 5 just for the "noise" (which one can feel immediately, entering the place), while you say that everything else was valuable? However, we would be happy to have you again as guest on the quieter days (lunch-time, wed-fri-sat at dinner) in the part of the environment farther from the entrance/lounge bar, which is more protect from crowd and music, and offer you prosecco and coffee. Please tell us when: it would be an honor to show you again the good parts of our hospitality recipe.Best regards

A friend who is resident in Lugano introduced us to this well-known lakeside restaurant within a very established, some say stuffy, hotel in Lugano. The terrace view is great and we enjoyed an avocado salad, the vegetarian lasagna, and well-prepared salmon. Service was professional but perfunctory. Prices are on the high side, but this is Lugano, Switzerland. We ate well and enjoyed the view.

Well, I must say this place is special, the building itself it's majestic, but refined very classy in the inside. The restaurant Seven has a wonderful view overlooking the bay, extremely beautiful.Very well decorated with nice bar in the middle of the restaurant and a nice collection of bottle. The wine list is extensive with reasonable price, we opted for the tasting menu, 5 courses, a tour of flavour with Japanese infusion, I loved each course beautifully described by the staff and some good wine to compliment my food. The food was well presented, nice combinations of flavours, very tasty, some of them unusual but they all worked together very well, I must say the chef is very talented. Thanks to Salvatore and Igor and the staff for a very nice experience Buongiorno Claudio L,thank you for your kind and detailed review; we are glad that you enjoyed the location and the ambient of SEVEN LUGANO the restaurant, as well of course as the wine and dine. I will give your compliments to our Chef and to Salvatore and his Team!Kind regards,Aurelia
