Do you fancy a sip of local wine with a homemade cheese appetizer by the cheminée or a fondue at our outdoor fireplace? Or how about a slice of freshly baked cake along with a cup of speciality tea after a skiing day on the mountain? Or one of our signatu
Location itself is quite good. Service quite slow and unfriendly (except barman). The food itself is very disappointing: we took two types of burger, both were not so great. Cooked vegetables are basically raw or barely/poorly cooked. All table are for four minimum, which is okay if you are two at the table.. but when two others joins for a drink, very annoying for a couple dinner (even though we booked before).Overall disappointing - can be nice for drinks, but definitely not good for a coupleâs dinner.

What a place to get a dark brown suntan right in the middle of half pipes for snowboarders and idiothill for skiing beginners. Even when you content yourself in lying in their germantype wickerbeachseats ogling the loveliest girls and - silently boozing away - you can still pass as being sportive because you have the suntan to show for it when inspected by your unsuspecting kin. The only pain is getting up, go to the bar, get the attention of one of the flirting waiters and waitresses to get your drink before stumbling back to your wicker basket and having a fresh fry in the sun. As for food, plain local fare, quality could be called - its quite alright - if you have the patience for our order to get taken and brought back from the all convince food kitchen where cooking for the staff seems to be an occupation which affords them to be in expensive Davos and enjoy the heavy action in the nightlife.
The à -la-carte Restaurant "Bistro Voilà " is open daily from 11:00 am to midnight for snacks or a fine dinner. In good weather, you can enjoy cool drinks or hot coffee on the inviting sun terrace with a view at the mountains.
Staying at the Steigenberger Hotel in Davos I had been favourably impressed by the room and ambience of the hotel. The staff were usually friendly and helpful BUT a visit to this Bistro restaurant within the hotel was most disappointing. Firstly the service was matter of fact with no enthusiasm. The food sounded great on the menu but on arrival was not up to much. For example the fish and chips consisted of three end tails containing lots of batter but little fish and the chips were small and soggy. My husband had Pork Schnizel which was supposed to be in breadcrumbs but was again covered in fatty batter. Neither of these came with vegetables. Needless to say the following two nights we ate at a restaurant nearby.

So, you survived Jatzhytte and the last run down the slopes of Jacobshorn - keep your helmet on and stay for a few drinks at Bolgenplaza! i like to stay outside if the sun is shining, it does not get crazy crowded there. If you decide to stay and eat, do so inside and downstairs. The food is not bad, it is well prepared and tasty, but you get better food elsewhere. Here is where you go for drinks and party. At the time of writing everything has to close at 7 p.m due to some regulatory nonsense. The party however continues across the water. I was not too happy with that place however. Over crowded and bad air.
