From arrival through advice, ordering, service and leaving this was a very pleasurable experience. The staff are attentive at just the right level, their advice is highly knowledgeable, the cooking is to a very high standard and the food absolutely delicious. The owners are very proud of their restaurant, and quite rightly so. We will definitely be returning for a try at a different tasting menu.Dear Mr CovielloThank you very much for the fantastic review. We are glad, that you enjoyed your dinner and the service in Yama. The restaurant is in a fully renovated old barn right next to the Jakobshorn Gondola making it very convenient for parking and public transportation. We were a group of 10 for dinner given a spacious alcove in the main part of the restaurant. Perfect for the kids to play cards and talk among themselves without bothering/being bothered by the other guests.Food choices are quite unusual and by no means the typical Davos restaurant fare. The Rippli (beef short rib) was very succulent (braised for 24 hours) and very tasty. The Hacktätchli (meatballs) were also excellent. I didn’t see what the kids ordered but all the plates were sent back empty, which is not always the case when we eat out in the Davos/Klosters region (some restaurants don’t even offer a kids menu, which is unacceptable for a ski resort). The kids also devoured several orders of the apple rings in cinnamon and sugar - a big hit. They also have an interesting selections of breads, including a hemp (Hanf) bread and a stinging nettle bread. I didn’t try either but my companions all seemed happy. Maybe the hemp had something to do with it, as it is used in a couple of different dishes Our waitress was very helpful and attentive, but slowed down somewhat by an apparently understaffed kitchen. To the restaurant’s credit, they ensured the kids were taken care of quickly, but the rest of us did have a bit of a wait for the main course. I would write that the food was worth the wait, but that might encourage the management to think they can get away with slow service. Instead, they might want to beef up the staff in the kitchen for the winter season. In the end, I dithered between a 4 star and 5 star rating, giving them the benefit of the doubt over the kitchen staffing issue. 5 stars, but I’ll be back to see if they can keep it up.Thanks for the nice review Woody999xWe're working hard to improve both our food concept as our service level :-).We'd be happy to have you back soon and hope there won't be any more doubts...BestTeam Stall Valär
