La Campagnola is a pizzeria with accommodation. Having booked a room as a mid point to my destination i had no hesitation in stopping by without reservation on my return. The room was small but comfortable and well worth the price. The bed was very comfortable. My room had shared bathroom but despite my initial hesitation when booking i found them to be very clean and as such had no problem in returning the following evening.Breakfast in the morning, fresh bread, ham and cheese.....yummm.Only negative and reason for not the final star, the walls are paper thin and any slight noise from adjoining rooms can be heard clearly.Unfortunately i did not sample the offerings in the restaurant, but the food look good, plenty of people eating there despite the remote location and atmosphere was good.

Stopped by as there was traffic jam on the road through the tunnel so wanted to eat a bite. The welcome was very poor, the waitress litteraly threw the menus on the table. Then we noticed that this was cash only, we asked so she said that we could pay in CHF or EUR (prices were in CHF). We ordered and had to wait quite a while to get our pasta and lasagna. They were average.Even know we knew the restaurants are more expensive in Switzerland, it was particularly so.Then when the bill came, it was a simple 1:1 conversion CHF to EUR (whereas 1 CHF = 0,9 EUR).Really bad experience!Dear Vincent, Many thanks for your review. We feel really sorry about your negative experience at our restaurant. Laura, the restaurant manager, does everything by herself, from cooking to serving tables. This is why it usually takes a little bit longer than in a bigger restaurant. The same way, it is impossible to pay by card as we don't have enough volume for it. This is really well displayed at the restaurant entrance, however we will make sure to make it even more visible :) We hope you will give a second chance one day and that, instead of just exit the highway because of the traffic jam, you will stay a bit longer. The Gothard Region hides some of the most spectacular alpine lakes and we even got the steepest funicolar in Europe. Let us know if you would like to receive some information about hotels and activities, we would be glad to offer you dinner. See you soon!Emanuela(Owner's daughter)

In The Restaurant we will tempt you with dishes from four different, stylish open studio kitchens showcasing both Asian and European fare. Surrounded by exquisite aromas, watch the food being prepared directly and freshly in front of you. The Restaurant h
Nice restaurant, Sunday evening pretty full and therefore unexpected noisy. Personal kind and full of attention for the clients, but in some case clearly novice. We choose the Asian sharing menu: Starters, dim sum and dessert were great, the main course and the wine accompaniment unfortunately under the level we were expecting. All together a nice experience but not the best we found in The ChediDear isanoll,Thank you so much for taking some of your precious time sharing your feedback with us. It is always a pleasure to receive overall positive feedback. However, we are very sorry and surprised to learn that you did not enjoyed the flavor of the food of your main course, as overall, we get very positive comments for our Asian cuisine.Thank you again for your much appreciated visit and we are looking forward to welcoming you back very soon.Sincerely,Jean-Yves BlattGeneral Manager & The Chedi Andermatt Team

Today I took a day trip from Lucerne, Switzerland, around the Grimsel-, Nufenen- and Gotthard Pass with one of my family members. It was about noon time when we passed through the Bedretto Valley. We decided to look for a restaurant to have lunch at. By mere happenstance we stumbled across the Locanda Orelli. I drove right by it, but my dad noticed the Locanda sign and made me turn around (...he is very good at spotting interesting eateries). Anyway, we received a very friendly welcome not in Swiss German, but Italian, the language spoken in this part of Switzerland, which made the reception even more genuine and not so touristically oriented. The inside is a very tastefully decorated small dining room where the colors of brown, red and white prevail and create a comfy atmosphere. We were totally blown away by the menu de jour and everything else we found on the menu and wine list. It's better not to disclose the delicacies in case you want it to be a surprise.

The self sevice restaurant is not bad. There are also served restaurants which are pretty good. The self service restaurant is in the same building as the Gotthard museum which is really great.

Ristorante Forni is the restaurant with a modern, yet hospitable atmosphere. Creative and tasty cuisine. Award-winning selection of quality wines.
On our way to Italy, we decided to go for a culinary dinner in this hotel. The food was very good, light and creative. We also took the wines that were suggested with each course. The wine was good (really good), but the way they were provided was very unromantic: each wine was poured in a glass with a line indicating the volume and the person pouring the wine exactly up to this glass, with took her quite an effort.

5 it's my best:Position 2 (nothing special, a little bit outside Airolo centre but not so far)Price 3.5Kindness and professionality 5Cleaning 4.5Food choice 4 (not only cheese)Food quality 5 (consider we had only few cheese plates)Credit card: acceptedReservation: we did not need but it depends on the period, always suggestedEasy access for disabled peopleThis restaurant is really special if you love the cheese like we do. We split in two one fondue with bread and small soft potatoes and one croute with ham and cheese, both wonderful! Two beers and one cup of blueberries (local ones) with whipped cream. We spent in total about 45 euros. Considering the ingredients it's not that cheap but considering theat it's Swiss it's not that expensive too :) The restaurant is simple inside, not romantic. It's big, good for families and friends, easy access for disabled people, big parking outside. You can also buy cheese and other specialities directly inside.Enjoy it!Gianluca

We offer a light cuisine, with a set of proposals aimed for each occasion. At lunch, three-course menu (that can be mixed-and-matched as you please). In the evening two gourmet menus: the first of three and the second of four courses. In addition for Sund
Was here twice for lunch. We explored all available and it was an absolute culinary journey! Ingredients are selected, if possible local, and of very high quality; preparation is very original where different tastes amalgamate very well with the dish. Dishes are presented elegantly. Service is great. It is a new pearl in the Alps! Will be back!!! Ps: rooms are modern, very spacious and inviting.
