The kitsch-American style adds to, rather than detracts from the dining experience here. It's airy, light, modern and friendly. Most importantly, the meat here is exceptionally good (recommend the hot stone beef filet infused with rosemary), so while the ambience remains casual, they do pay serious attention to their cooking, and this would be a definite "come-back-to" place in the future. Prices are Swiss standard for meat - high! but not outrageous.

Creperie
A warm, welcoming environment in this little Creperie in the center of Martigny. We enjoyed a spinach, ham and goat cheese crepe that was delicious along with a mixed veggie salad that was fresh and very tasty. Price was high for a crepe, but it is Switzerland, everything is expensive.

Small restaurant with an excellent traditional local cuisine. Meat (local beef) with vegetables and hot and cold cheese plates- Very pleasant no thrill athmosphere and good service. Downside : the prices as items are priced separately the total comes to a fairly high total.

We went there to celebrate a birthday. We went online to check the menu beforehand and were all excited to order what we wanted. Unfortunately, the rack of lamb was removed from the menu and some other dishes as well. We finally order something else that was delicious but there was a minimum of 2ppl of the same dish (that particular dish). The restaurant is called the 360 but only half of the restaurant has view. Our view was the roundabout of the town. Not too exciting for a birthday atmosphere. The deco of the restaurant is also rather dull.

Located near the Place centrale, Martigny
This restaurant opened last year (2010). It has a very intersting menu - mostly as the name indicates fish and meat. The cuisine is very creative and the chef uses very fresh ingredients. If he doesn't have something fresh he doesn't serve it! Prices are reasonable and the staff are delightful! Tables are well spaced and there is a nice little garden for outside dining in the summer. the location right next to the UBS on the Place Centrale is perfect.Their fricassé of gambas is great - shrimp are already peeled and the sauce is very tasty. The "Boulliabase du Chef" is lovely - again, very fresh fish and you can taste each different fish instead of having them swamped by the taste of the sauce. There is a plat du jour each day at lunchtime.Average cost of a meal for us, including 3 courses and 50cl of open wine was around 130frs for two. However it wasn't really necessary to have the dessert!! But my husband said the Tarte Tatin was the best he ever ate!

After a first disappointing try last year (not enough chestnuts and unclear how much were included, staff way to busy to pay enough attention), we decided to give another try to their "brisolée"... And we were very pleased this time. The local cheese platter was delicious and included several types of fruits as well, the waitress came many times to check whether we wished more chestnuts or drinks, so we had plenty. Dessert was good but not very elaborate. The place itself is quite nice with several different rooms and atmospheres, all pretty cosy.It would be great to have the cheese names on the platter directly: even though it's nice to have the manager come to the tables to greet us and give the names, we couldn't recall any of them after she left the table anyway...!Also the first chestnuts weren't hot enough when we received them, but they were better at the end of our meal.Cher Client Merci du ⤠c'est très sympathique de vous lire. Ãa donne le pep et la bonne humeur.Superbes fêtes de fin d'année remplie de belles surprises.Au plaisir.Salutations de toute l'équipe du Moulin Semblanet

Our friend living in Martigny invited us for lunch to this restaurant, she described it as 'exquisite cuisine'! The set menu was enormous, so we decided to have one dish each and a dessert. I ordered veal with wild mushrooms, my husband ordered salmon fish and my friend ordered coquis St Jacques. Portion was big enough, the taste was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of our meals, We had red wine called Cornell, a typical Valaisan red wine, went very well with the food. Dessert came and thank God it was lighter than we thought ! It wasn't cheap, easily 250SF for dishes we had. but we enjoyed, so we paid the right price for the right food! Service was also excellent.

Nice Restaurant Freshly prepared plates from our chef Ludovic Tornare, seasonal food, specialities of lamb, meat fondues, and differents meats Beautiful garden-terrasse, nice restaurant with 2 rooms in the town center, 200 meters next to the Fondation Gia
Sunday lunch with friends and the restaurant was full. Nice table in the back room and a quieter area than the main dining room so very nice. We all had asparagus - with Hollandaise for 3 of us and Jambon cru for me. Very seasonal. Main course was rack of lamb, slightly over cooked for my taste but tender. (We werenât asked how we liked it...)The gratin was âto die forâ - seriously good!! Their lamb is from a family farm in Bourg St Pierre apparently. Nice selection of desserts. We had some good local wines - Florian Besse.Service was a bit slow but that was understandable... however the young lady who served us needs a lesson in customer relations! When asked where our desserts were - by then the restaurant was 3/4 empty - she replied âI donât make the desserts - that is the kitchenâs job!! â. She could simply have said she would check...Definitely a place to return to especially in summer for their lovely garden. The restaurant is very close to the Fondation Gianadda so perfect if one is going there.Hello, Thank your for your "avis"I will take some more time for my "apprentie" as a waitresse how to speak with our clients, she will learn it ;). Thank your for your honesty and we wish you a good easter.Yours sinceleryClaudia Tornare

Four of us stopped off in Martigny after a day out and decided to try Restaurant 'Les Touristes' on speck.Nelson the restaurant owner was only too happy to seat us without booking and after some delicious rose wine we had a most splendid and sophisticated meal. It is not often I wax lyrical about soup but the tomato soup starter was sensational, creamy with a basil dressing, we all adored it. Afterward we had Canette (duck), bass with coquille sause, Valaisanne pork cooked two ways, and beef ravioli; every dish was outstanding. We did not manage to get to the deserts but I would bet they were good also.Don't miss this place if you are in the area, it has only been open 6 months but I would not be surprised if it eventually got interest from the Michelin man.

One of the advantages of visiting Switzerland is that you can enjoy French and Italian cuisine without leaving the country. We arrived without a reservation and were offered an outside table along with others who appeared to be regular customers. Our waitress didn't speak much English, which was a good sign. The food was simply marvelous, especially the escargot and the risotto.
