Nice place in a little side road of the old market square. A parking is in front.
A little mixture of Spanish and Italian cuisines, the result is absolutely delicious.
Tables are distant enough, modern decor and enough light to read the menu and look at your mate.
Good looking, kind and attentive waitresses. Quick service, everybody speaks English.
Bread is more on the French baguette side, but ok.
Good selection of wines, some also by the glass. Starters, soups, fish and meat mains, a special section dedicated to pasta, Hamon Serrano and blue cheese appear often in the menu.
Good meat, juicy and tender well cooked and well presented.
The Crema Catalana is simply the real thing.
Slightly expensive for Polish standards but good value for your money.

Small, unpretentious eatery on the side street of the Main Square. Only few tables in- and outside and some chairs at the bar. The menu consists of some cold starters, delicious pancakes, both with vegetables and sweet ingredients. Also pretty nice list of fresh prepared salads. Healthy food and good quality products at reasonable prices.

The dishes I tried in this non flashy restaurant were great. The squid was a huge portion of salty, garlicy, grilled tastiness. It came with fresh spinach mixed with buttery fried potatoes. The lightly fried cod was slightly dry, but it's risotto was deep flavored and close to perfect. I'd come back in a flash.

More than a river it's a canal in front of the café nice tables in the open air but you can enjoy them only in summer time. Blankets anyway are available. I had a camembert salad that was good.

we went 7 people, including 3 kids.
Local with great atmospehere, located in a "cave" in the Rynek of Sandomierz. Restaurant type "slow food": short menu but assorted enough, with very good raw (local) ingredients.
Managed by young people, service is absolutely 5 stars. They try to please all your requests with a smile.
We ordered food for 5 adults (soup+main), and some nuggets for kids. Presentation is simple but really cool. We paid 160pln for all (under 40euro). Excellent value for the money. Had myself a hamburger which was absolutely amazing.
We went there thanks to tripadvisor, and I confirm that the high marked achieved by this spot, is well deserved.
Will come back again there whenever I will be again in town.

Stumbled on this place by accident on a stroll down the river as it's a little off the beaten track. So glad we did. Went back three times in ten days. Chilled out place serving really good food (rich, tasty but simple) that won't break your bank balance, and a huge selection of wines all kept at the recommended temp in a big fridge by the bar. Service was also brilliant - even though we spoke little Polish and on one visit some of us turned up late and were still able to order. You could easily while away a good couple of hours here and go through a good three courses, and you can even sit outside on a bridge over the river. Waitress even split our bill up into 11 different receipts - make sure you leave her a decent tip!

I stopped at John Burg with a cousin of mine during my short stay in Kielce and decided to go for the hot and spicy black angus beef burger. It came with chips and for an extra couple PLN you can have an "open bar"...MoreJakub, thank you for your opinion about our restaurant. We look forward to your next visit. Best Regards :)

Fantastic sernik (cheesecake), great szarlotka (applecake), warm, friendly atmosphere. Fully recommended. Even though beer was a bit too warm.

Driving from Krakow to Tarnobrzeg to visit our friends who were blessed just recently with their firstborn. We decided to head to Sandomierz for lunch and we picked Bistro Podwale and we were not disappointed. Great friendly service, nice location in a Hobbit-style tunnel / warehouse, very tasty food. The surroundings of the establishment are very nice as well. Good value for money!
