After a long and exhausting Kaure visit nearby we dropped in at Lauters for coffee and cakes. Lauters is a tranquil place around a ruin. Scenic with a view to sea, sheep and flowers we found peace and quiet, nice coffee, excellent cakes and we left with re-charged batteries. Later we decided to go back for dinner and stumbled into their regular barbecue night with mexican-style bar including two charming bartenders. All fine, but change the music or upgrade the loudspeakers please. All we could hear was the bass. And mexican-style bass is pretty repetitive....
Located next to the heritage railway station with plenty of parking at the station. Order at counter. Great for families and kids with open areas. Seems everything is homemade. Very Swedish. On a Sunday in May this was really popular from 11 in the morning. Brunch is buffet and surprisingly affordable. We went for the coffee + cake. Recommended.

Found a review from a local and went here expecting to find a typical Swedish "fika", i.e. coffee and sweet cakes, in a traditional cozy environment. I don't know if we arrived on the wrong day since there were almost no sweets. Instead, we ordered a light lunch, salad and a spice chili pie. Both of these were great. Staff was nice. We will go here again, but not for a "fika".Hi! Thanks for the good review about the food! We're baking all our pasteries and cakes ourselves, and we're trying to have diversity and a large range of choices. However, sometimes we sell more than we expect, and we don't have the time to bake more during the day! We truly apologise & hope to have more "fika" to offer the next time you're visiting us! :)
Lovely place.Super friendly staff. Had to try the Gotlands våffla. It was really good! Also a lot of different game(wild boar). On waffles!! Great for allergies as well. And they even had water for our dog in the garden. Who can beat this?
I had the pleasure of sampling the Visby Glass ice cream a few times as it was right next door to the Hotel I was staying at (a bit dangerous!) and it is very tasty. Lots of flavours to choose from.

Lovely coffee & Wi-fi. Great spot for a break. The goulash soup was delicious too with a selection of bread. We enjoyed our stay

Stumbled into this restaurant on my way back from the bus station. The woman behind the counter was personable and suggested the lunch buffet, so I did. She also provided a spa recommendation and was kind enough to circle where that was on the map for me, so shout-out to her!The interior was charming and, like many places restaurants I visited in Visby, "shabby chic." There are two floors of dining space, and I noticed that everyone around me was speaking Swedish. The buffet itself was very small, with two types of salad, tomato soup, two types of cheese, a bread basket, a pasta dish, chocolate cake, coffee and tea (and maybe there was one other dish on there). There were several tins of loose-leaf behind the counter, so I'd say the tea selection was pretty solid. The dishes all took up one table. I'd say the highlight was enjoying the tomato soup with a scoop of the chevre, which I hadn't seen before but the cashier recommended. The buffet cost about $12 USD, and while it might have been a more authentic experience, the meal itself unfortunately wasn't one of my most memorable. Wish I'd tried some of the pastries!

Restaurant with full menu all day. Kitchen is open 11.00am-9.00 pm. Live music. Also café with coffee, home baked cakes, sandwiches, icecream and pitch-and-putt. Open only during summer season, June-August.
Not far from Ljugarn Centre is this café located almost on the beach. Mainly outdoor seating and close to beach activities and a minigolf.Personell is nice and helpful and the menue impressive but you could also go lighter with e.g. coffee and snacks.

We were visiting Farosund with friends. After getting off the ferry and being hungry, we saw this little cafe on the corner of the street. It is small and all the tables were full, both inside & out. We figured this must be a good place to grab a bite. It certainly was. All the food is fresh made & the breads are fantastic. The place is a bit eclectic, which made it more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. The quality and the size of the servings are well worth the price.

Hello My cafe is listed in coffee tea category while it should be in cafe category. I would be happy if you can change that. All the best Zadok
This restaurant feels like you are transported to Italy with the atmosphere and music. The service was friendly and attentive (making adjustments for lactose-intolerant is appreciated). Their garden is beautiful, they have their own coffee brew and use fresh ingredients. Their saffron pancakes smelled amazing! This is definitely a cafe you should make a visit to!
