Located at the bottom of Kingston Hill, near Kingston Hospital, Richmond Park, and Norbiton Railway Station; 0.5 miles from the town centre; just 10 minutes drive from Teddington, Richmond, Surbiton, Wimbledon and Putney.
Don't be fooled - this is no standard curry house, this is proper regional Indian food cooked by a group of chefs who know exactly what they're doing. We come here about once a month to take advantage of the changing specials menu in which...MoreYou are very kind. Thank you for your recommendation.

We started out in Kingston in 2001 and opened our Walton restaurant in June 2014. Our owner, executive chef, and many of our staff are Turkish and they have proudly drawn on their heritage to create a little corner of Turkey in the UK. Our food is cooked by chefs who were brought up with traditional Turkish cooking and who have been trained to the highest standards in Istanbul. We want you to enjoy the true taste of Turkey so the interiors of both restaurants are designed with Turkish decor. And all food is served in authentic Turkish cooking utensils such as clay pots. THE ORIGINS OF OUR NAME According to ancient history, Cappadocia was the birthplace of St George. It means "the land of beautiful horses and was an extensive inland district of Asia Minor, which is now modern Turkey. The first settlers built their homes into stone cliffs and burrowed their cities underground. Today tourists are drawn to Cappadocia by its unusual scenery, and of course to stay in a cave hotel.
What a pity, but I guess they are the victim of their own success. Because the food is awesome (as far as a kebab restaurant in concerned) the service has gone down hill. It's not a terrible service, but Turkish restaurants are famed for their service and Cappadocia used to be like that.
On this occasion , we struggled to get the attention of the waiters and despite telling them that we are celebrating 50th Birthday when we booked, they completely forgot about it when we arrived. They usually play happy birthday and bring a small dessert with candle, my wife said that we should mention, but the moment was ruined, so we left dissappointed.
The waiters were more interested at the end to pick up the tip we left for the only girl that was hard working and nice to us.
Otherwise, the food is lovely but don't have high expectations of great service.

We had the upstairs as a Private Dining on Saturday 4th March. Celebrating Auntie Sylvia's 80th Birthday. The whole event was amazing from beginning to end. Food was wonderful. Everyone had very tasty dishes . The food was scrumptious. The young lady who served us, I'm sorry I can no longer recall your name was absolutely fabulous. Attentive and very friendly. A real credit to the restaurant.
I will definitely return again and will recommend your delightful restaurant to everyone . Thank you

Positano is an Italian Restaurant in the heart of Surbiton, and we hope we’ll be your home away from home. Whether you’re coming in with friends for a comforting bowl of pasta, a big beautiful hand made pizza, and a glass of red, or celebrating your birthday with cake and limoncello, we’d love to welcome you in.
What a great find this restaurant was!
We went on Saturday night for my daughter-in-law's birthday.
They have recently moved into the area and we were looking for somewhere local and I found Positano. I am so glad I did.
We booked in advance (which I am sure is advisable as they were busy). When we arrived we were so warmly welcomed, it was as if we were regulars, not first time customers!
The menu is quite extensive with a good mix of dishes, and there is a daily specials board.
The food is delicious - as good as any meal I have had in Italy, and the hot dishes are served HOT! Not just slightly hot but very hot - a real bonus as so often things are kept warm and aren't really hot when served.
Between the 6 of us we had a selection of starters, mains and desserts and we all thought they were amazing.
We could not fault any of the staff who were friendly, but not pushy. We were not rushed, and spent a very pleasant evening chatting together in a very nice restaurant.
(I would like to point out that they never tried to get anyone to drink alcohol as stated by one rather grumpy reviewer. In fact they respected our wishes on our drink choices. My daughter-in-law is pregnant and they never tried to get her to drink anything alcoholic.)
Thank you to all at Positano for making our Saturday night out so enjoyable. We will be back, as I am sure will my son and daughter-in-law. You are so friendly and made us feel so welcome.

Family run Italian restaurant since 2005. Serving pizza, pasta as well as ever changing daily fish & meat specials.
Booked a table for 2 on a busy Saturday evening. It was our first visit, and we were encouraged by the positive reviews.
The first thing that strikes you as you enter is how cramped the place is. They really have chosen quantity over quality in terms of floor space usage. The second thing you notice is how noisy it is. This is partly due to the number of tables crammed in, and the general acoustics of the building. The combination of these two factors plus the fact that you’ll be sitting inches away from fellow diners rules out any possibility of a romantic dinner, or being able to have a decent conversation over your meal.
The food was average. Mussels as a starter were bland and rather undersized. Seafood risotto as a main needed seasoning and presentation was rather poor.
Staff were pleasant, and competent.
Won’t be returning, mostly due to the utter lack of any charm, ambiance or character about this place. It could be vastly improved by getting rid of a few tables and reorganising the floor space, and allowing diners to relax and enjoy their meal in comfort and relative privacy. Right now it seems it’s all about cramming as many bums on seats as possible.

French traditional bistro using fresh food cooked on order We don't use microwaves! Family owned since 1997
We go here at least once a year and are never disappointed. Service unhurried but not slow, excellent ingredients, menu choice and cooking. My only complaint was that my sea bass came with an arty smear of beurre blanc sauce not the puddle I'd hoped for.

Restaurant is a Middle Eastern cusine with a touch of Persian dishes. You can choose from our dips with fresh oven baked bread, grilled chicken and steaks, see food and vegetarian and vegan dishes.
I won a free meal for 2 at the Sarab through a local radio competition, and WOW! What an amazing meal it was. The mixed mezze to start with had about 6 different dips/salads/starters on it and was fabulous (to be honest I would have been happy with this as my main course and nothing else!), and then the main course (I had a kebab dish and my husband had the lamb fillet) and both were cooked to perfection. This place is a real find - the food was top quality and the staff could not have been more friendly and hospitable (and they really didn't need to be as we were there as a freebie!). Definitely recommend this place - if you haven't tried Iranian food before you are in for a treat. I also thought the prices were very reasonable and the portions were extremely generous.

Visiting Naturally Chinese was my first ever experience of dim sum. I was not expecting to enjoy it that much but it was absolutely FANTASTIC. We were served all our dishes quickly and they were all steaming hot. The steamed custard buns were exceptionally lovely, and the pork buns were excellent too.
The atmosphere was lively but not too busy, and we had a great seat by the window, with lots of natural lighting. Staff were most friendly and efficient.

We opened Pickled Pantry in Surbiton on 25th June 2012. It had been a dream of ours to create a ´Home From Home´ cafe & deli using fresh and locally sourced produce from local companies. We have created a comfortable environment where we hope you can feel completely relaxed and during your visit if there is anything we can do to enhance your experience then please ask, ´nothing is too much trouble´.Here at Pickled Pantry we make everything fresh in house... Well nearly everything, we do not bake our own bread, however we do get it from our local bakery - 'Sucklings Bakery' on Villas Avenue, and my god they make good bread! Jo also makes Celebration Cakes, check out the chocolate one she did the other day.Thank you for visiting and we look forward to seeing at Pickled Pantry, Surbiton soon.George & Jo
We love coming to the Pickled Pantry for breakfast and today tried a light lunch. I had the chorizo and goat’s cheese trencher which was absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and it is clear a lot of thought and care is put into the food.

An Independent coffee shop serving amazing coffee from Hasbean coffee roasters as well as over 23 amazing teas from around the world. Ideal for Business Meetings and just catching up around the sharing table for 8
Wanted to title as "Best coffee in Surbiton", but others were faster than me to praise that delicious gem in the heart of busy Surbiton. May be its not that cosy as cafe Nero nearby, but coffee is outstanding.
I don't know which beans they use and how they brew it. This coffee leaves you speechless, completely hypnotized by the taste and aroma.
Service is really good and friendly. They talk to you like they know you for a long time.In relaxed but respectful manner.
I like the name of that coffee shop too - Press room. Sounds stylish and different.
