The Red Moon restaurant at The Fisherman's Village in Bophut Koh Samui was a great treat. In true French style, Chef and owner 'Gao' met, greeted and explain his menu to us. I enjoyed the very best curry Iv'e ever tasted but Gao is truly famous for his slow cooked (7 hour) New Zealand 'Lamb Shanks'. Sincere thanks Gao for an amazing evening.

Had an excellent dinner here as a family of 5. A diverse menu of Thai and Western dishes. The food is served with real flair, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service was superb too - they really looked after my children in particular. Was one of the busiest restaurants on the strip the night we visited - easy to see why. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurant I have ever visited not only comparing to Thailand!The food is special , surprising, modern style and presented beautifully.Service is amazing too, they recommend and explain very good. Best snapper fish I had ever, amazing chicken cake and the lamb was simply exiting!Not cheap but for this standard you would pay triple in Europe.Highly recommend it and defiantly will come back!

This place is only highly rated as they ask the customer to rate it there and then. This joint is run of the mill. Nothing special. Your review is more or less spot on."Food is nice but that's it.". Indeed. Our business is to try to provide excellent food with excellent service at a reasonable price. Everything else is fairly ordinary. Prospective customers should not expect to eat a $4 Pad Thai while sitting in designer furniture, enjoying sweeping views, and getting entertained at the same time by a live jazz quartet. The view from our tables and windows is street traffic, a mobile Thai pancake cart, and lots of parked motorbikes. There are much better places in regards to ambience around us, with prices to match.One thing is incorrect - we do ask our customers to rate us, but we don't tell them how to rate. There are absolutely no incentives provided by us for rating and reviewing. Most of today's businesses do the same - the feedback and guidance by the customers is extremely important.

We drove here for lunch, the location is idyllic! Itâs not fancy, and very reasonably priced.They offer a great range of food from European sandwiches to traditional Thai to suit all palettes. The drinks menu was extensive, and the fruit juices divine. I thoroughly enjoyed lunch.

Undoubtedly the best Thai food in Bophut , if not the whole of Samui. I have honestly not eaten Thai food as good as this anywhere else, during my whole time in Thailand.Itâs a small family run place , and chef cooks outside the front of the restaurant , so you can see how fresh everything is and how good a chef he is Thereâs a huge choice on the menu , with lots of fresh fish being as itâs samui, the soft shell crab is great by the way.But the winner for me was the fried papaya salad with prawns I could have eaten that every night, in fact I only missed eating there once during my time on samui, and only then because of a power cutThank you very much again for keeping me fed while on the island, and hope to be back soon to meet your new baby boy

We had lunch and a dinner at Hemingwayâs and the meals were wonderful!! Mon took care of us both days and recommended dishes for us to try. The service was impeccable thanks to Mon and the wonderful kitchen staff! Highly recommend the steamed whole fish with the chili garlic sauce and the spicy green papaya salad!! Thank you Mon!!

I had the Charolais bavette (flank steak). The meat was top quality from the top French breed for meat (Charolais)... Supplied by a farm in Thailand. Supporting the local economy and lower the carbon impact !The cooking was very well executed by the French chef. Tender, juicy, nicely grilled and crispy with matching herbs and pepper on the top. Had the house made potato puree with it (double cooked, traditional style), and a good salad.The prices are so affordable for such a meat quality that I had to ask the cook about his supply ! Needless to say, the owner is passionate, and very welcoming, I stayed a few hours at the restaurant and he lent me a nice beach towel when I stepped down for a swim (need to deserve the steak !)The setting is simple, impeccably clean and tasteful, with an open terrasse directly on the beach.This was the highlight of my day in Ko Samui !

Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. No paper menu for food as they go over a blackboard with the current menu with you after you order drinks. Everything was delicious. The crab risotto and mushroom salad might be my ultimate faves but the fried calamari is a crowd pleaser too. The fried fish was also really good. Highly recommend the coconut ice cream for dessert!The owners were so nice and Supattra (the chef) even came over and asked us about our meals. The dinner was so yummy that I came back by myself the next week! The service is really great - definitely up to my NYC standards, which is saying a lot for Thailand!
