Check out our new location in Downtown Sun Prairie at the corner of King and Main. Newly expanded menu with entrees, full bar with craft cocktails, in a restored 116 year old building. We are proud to source most of our ingredients from local sources including artisan cheesemakers, wisconsin dairy farmers, family farms, and producers. We have a scratch kitchen and bake our pies in a 6000 lb brick hearth oven.
We had 3 excellent takeout pizzas last week. Normally I worry that 20-30 minutes in the car will reduce the quality, but we reheated them in the oven at 350F and they were as good as new. We love the interesting combinations (Basic, Woodman) and also had one custom-made with spinach, ricotta, and garlic. The crusts are tasty and crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. Salvatore's does a wonderful job with their pizza.
On the side, we had an issue with our online order when we arrived for pickup, and I was concerned that our spotless image of Sal's, developed over several previous visits, was going to be tarnished. Not to worry - the issue was handled professionally and kindly, and we were on our way soon. Sal's knows how to run a business as well as how to make pizza. We'll be back, again and again.

Stopped for coffee with friends and was pleasantly surprised. I never knew about this coffeehouse before. Delicious coffee--they even had my almond milk for my latte AND latte art to boot! Talented barista! Great place to relax with a great drink to relax and talk, before checking out the shops (and quikt shop) on Main Street.

Great place where everyone can find something they like and portion sizes can vary by person. On a hot day, I've been known to have OL for lunch. I love that there are so many yogurt choices and with the buffet of toppings, the number of combinations is incredible. My only complaint is that the employees, at least when we've been there, haven't seemed very happy. Sure, they offer to help you but they've not been smiling or upbeat. They were basically saying it because they're supposed to. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend it.

This restaurant opened recently.
Visited for lunch with a group from work. There were a good assortment of choices, and none seemed disappointed. Yet, the entrees did not draw any special compliments or go beyond what was expected from this relatively new restaurant. Service was adequate, but not remarkable. There was a fish fry lunch special. Again, a good entree, but not one of the best in the area.
From this one experience, Buck and Honey's seems like a safe choice, but don't expect to be overly impressed. The outdoor area may make it a better choice once the weather improves.

It's a historic type building and nostalgia items on the inside so I don't discredit that it is small and somewhat out of date- but so was the help...slow, not super friendly and worse I think I was overcharged but didn't get a receipt so I couldn't tell. Food wasn't as good either- too much sauce on the buffalo chicken snack.

Their bakery looks better than it tastes. We shared a piece or cake, cupcake, and cheesecake. The cheesecake (mint) was the best, the cupcake was very dense, more like a muffin, and the cake was very dry.
The food was average. We had the pot pie, chicken chili, and corned beef hash. The gas was great, but the other two were lack luster.
Wouldn’t go out of my way for a visit and would more than likely try to find a differnt place to go if in the area.

Stopped with my sister and niece for dinner on Thursday night. There were a few diners when we arrived. It got busier throughout the evening. We all ordered different things and the food was good. The appetizer was delivered with the meal which was a bit strange. The server never came back to inquire about our meals. We were all drinking water and our glasses were not refilled during the meal. We had to flag down another server to get more water and ask for dessert. Our server returned to other tables around us several times. Not quite sure what was going on. It will some time before we go back.

Old Diner atmosphere with attentive service and good portions. their menu is widely varied and covers the gambit for a bite any time of day. But the exceptional dishes are on the breakfast menu. Gus' have an excellent eggs benedict and equivalent to a Grand Slam. I have been there for lunch a number of times and usually get the special. Excellent Roast Beef and Mashed potatoes and Gyros at different times. It's always busy, and the service is excellent.

Monk’s Bar & Grill is known throughout the Midwest as the place to go for delicious craft burgers and great service. Our fun, family-friendly dining atmosphere creates a memorable visit for both adults and children. We’re not just a sports bar that loves their Wisconsin Badgers, we’re supporters and fans of local youth sports and schools in our communities. The Wisconsin State Journal has stated, “The (Monk’s) burgers have taken on somewhat of a legendary status in Sauk County.” We have to agree, our burgers are pretty fantastic because we pride ourselves on quality ingredients. Hours of operation are subject to change based on season. Please call for most accurate closing times.
Stopped with wife for a Sat.-after-Thanksgiving- 12 noon lunch. Busy? Oh yeah. Long waits for seating/service? Absolutely NOT. We were seated w/in 5 min., served 15 min. post-ordering. The food was hot and tasty, portions very generous, and prices generally mid-range. Will eat here again soon.

It’s a fact that Wisconsin is not only a state known for its farmlands and dairy but for its production of cheese. As I travel the state for lighthouses, beer production, famous sites to see, I’m also checking out new food spots. I’ve stumbled across the perfect place for old fashioned comfort food.
The International Dairy Food Association states, “The most popular cheese recipe in the United States is “macaroni and cheese.”
Macs, Macaroni and Cheese Shop, has taken my taste buds by storm. I’ve fallen in love with one of their signature meals, Chipotle Chicken Mac; pepper jack, mozzarella, chicken and chipotle sauce with a twist of lime.
The hot, gooey cheese mix on the macaroni is served in a small cast iron skillet with homemade toasties. Recently I tried the Taco Mac. Through one of the clerks’ suggestions, I switched the ground beef with the chipotle chicken and the taste was amazing.
Overall: Macs also serves melts, salads, desserts and has a kids’ menu. Don’t forget to take advantage of their punch card program.
