Food was fine if you like waiting forever. It took so long to get our food my wife wondered if they went to Key West to get the eggs. Rather unfortunate as we watched at least a few couples leave without ever being waited on after being seated. The waitress even told another couple near us that it was gonna be awhile before they ordered so they knew which was nice but the restaurant was not even busy.

Innovative fresh local seafood. House Smoked Fish Dip is phenomenal, a definite "must try"!! Our Conch Chowder and our Key Lime Pie are also something you should not miss. We also have a great Square Grouper Fish Sandwich, 16 oz Grilled Ribeye (Certified Angus Beef!), Salads and lots of small plates to share...Flash Fried Conch with ponzu and wasabi. We are open on Mondays from the last week in December thru April! We close every September from the Sunday AFTER Labor Day and reopen on the Thursday BEFORE Columbus Day Weekend.
Relaxed environment with exceptional eye for detail. Fresh local seafood daily. Best place for a awesome lunch and/or dinner in all of The Keys. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere.

There is one on Sumberland Key also, but we couldn't find it.
Stopped in on our way to Bahia Honda for some lunch to go. Got two Cuban mix sandwiches, a chicken empanada and a beef empanada, and a guava and cheese pastry. Oh. My. Everything was just divine. And the prices cannot be beat! Stop in here if you love delicious food and friendly service!

Ordered pizza for pickup, responsive and friendly, loved some of the unique topping choices. Ready and on time for pickup. Loved the thin crust and sauce. Lunch earlier brought the same good food the blackened mahi sub excellent. However, service onsite alittle lax, 2 people working, 2 people in restaurant. After order told to walk around outside until food completed. 30 to 40 minutes later had to ask about food, food done and waiting, when asked about why no one told them, were told they were waiting for us to ask? In a restaurant who does that, especially one with 2 customers?

Full bar and tapas style menu offered at this wonderful new lounge that is located above the Square Grouper Bar and Grill. Offering fresh shucked oysters, peel and eat shrimp by the pound and half pound at the raw bar. Cheese and Chocolate Fondues as well as an array of sliders and salads are on the menu. Check out the menu on this site or on our website. Live Music!!
We stopped in after having dinner downstairs at the Square Grouper. The place was bustling but we got a hightop table and sat down to listen to the music and have a cocktail. The acoustics for the music are very poor -- we were unable to really hear the singer, and overly loud and in other areas

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS FOR THE LARGEST TIKI BAR IN THE FLORIDA KEYS Boondocks opened their doors over 25 years ago as a small ice cream shop. The current kitchen was the entire building. Quickly realizing Ramrod Key was in need of more than just ice cream the original owners expanded the menu to include sandwiches, and later added beer and wine to the mix. It wasn't until 2001 that the real transformation began to take place. Lanny was first to arrive in the Florida Keys and scope out Boondocks. Seeing past the overgrown trees and broken tables he immediately called this father, Larry and long time friend and colleague, John to hop the next flight down and check out their new home. With Lanny's vision, John's restaurant expertise and Larry's backbreaking work ethic, Boondocks Grille and Draft House and Miniature Golf has become one of the most popular destinations on the overseas highway.
We were down in the Keys for Thanksgiving and we weren't quite sure where to eat Thanksgiving dinner at. Some recommended this place. It was fantastic!!! They had just about anything you could possibly think of for the Thanksgiving buffet. Being away from home and family for the holiday wasn't so bad after all!!

This great spot delivers to your home or to the Tiki Hut located behind it. Of course you can also pick up. Subs are a step up from usual with roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and a great vinaigrette depending on what you order. Wings are huge and tasty! Pizza is wood fired grilled. We eat here when stopping at the tiki for a drink and a beautiful sunset or order to go for a day on the boat. It's reasonably priced and super yummy!

Family Oriented Fine Cuisine Italian Restaurant
The parking lot was very full on a Sunday evening at six, but we parked further down and found the front door of the restaurant through the empty outdoor patio.
The interior is nice, but slightly stark decor. Our waitress was good. We enjoyed the lasagne, Shrimp St. Jacques, and rigatoni with sausage and meatballs. (I was hoping for manicotti or chicken Marsala, but those weren't on the menu today.)
I thought the prices were reasonable, especially for the Keys. My rigatoni was a Sunday special and included a salad and a glass of wine for $25.

Our favorite hangout in the Keys. Known for it's vast beer menu, inventive cocktails and yummy small plates. Opens at 4:20 as part of the Square Grouper (downstairs) tongue-in-cheek theme.
