Ptuj (pronounced [ˈptuːi̯] ( listen); German: Pettau; Latin: Poetovium/Poetovio) is a town in northeastern Slovenia that is the seat of the Municipality of Ptuj. Have spent loads of time there as a teenager. Then, when expecting my first child, me and my husband went there every Saturday evening. We love their pizzas and often take them home, when we don't feel like cooking. A variety of choice, low prices, loads of parking places.

Kind staff, good prices, excellent food. We had pasta, squid, sardines and pizza. Everything was delicious and prepared fast.
Pivnica Zlatorok is a unique place! Opened in the seventies this place is serving the same dishes until today. We were starving as we had travelled all day and it was Sunday...everything closed...So we went here for a pizza and some beer/tea. It was also raining so you can imagine. We ate good things, drank something and the design was also nice. The prices were ok. It was pretty quiet and nobody was smoking at that time. We even watched a football game on that tv.

Had many pizzas in 2 weeks in Slovenia- all different. Here they were topped right to the edge, well cooked but dough remained moist. Well priced, good service and sat outside on fairly quiet street very close to Ptujâs sights.

As a local, I really liked this pizzeria near Terme Ptuj, but as the years went by, honestly, they got a little sloppy with the quality they are serving and other restaurants just got better for the same price, so they are not as much visited as they were 10 years ago and the food is also a downgrade.
