A bevy of universities give Austria's second-largest city its lively pace. Baroque palaces are a pleasant contrast with 16th-century courtyards and provocative modern buildings. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, teems with fine architecture, including the Burg castle complex, with its Gothic double staircase, and the graceful Uhrturm clock tower. A funicular takes visitors up the dramatic bluff. The River Mur dashes through the city, and thermal springs dot the surrounding countryside.

We had a super time and this spot along the river. Dinner hosts are very accommodating and friendly. English is spoken here and ordering and communication are easy. Quite an eclectic menu....with something for practically everyone!

We were visiting the Memori on friday evening and it was really excellent! The quality of the food, the wine accompaniment and the service was very attentive! At first the menu was a little bit hard to understand, but after questions it was clearly explained to us. Moreover, the dishes and drinks are also very imaginative and the attention to detail can be seen! The idea of ââusing the in-house supermarket for customers and for the restaurant is great as well sustainable. Rather a bit inappropriate was the music, which was not optimally matched to the Ambiente and Japanese cuisine. All in one, a delicious restaurant with good price performance and a more than satisfied service. We definitely come again!

The Scherbe is a great place, where the students and all kinds of locals meet for many years now. The staff is friendly and willing to help, and the food is great, ranging from Korean Krautsalat to Empanadas. My Empanadas came with bacon, mushrooms, onions and more and a cream dip, very yummy. For the drink I took a big apple juice with sparkling water. The atmosphere of the Scherbe is relaxed and easygoing and you easily can sit for hours with your friends and to work in a vibrant environment. I even spotted plugs here to charge devices. And the center location of the Scherbe is just across the river Mur on the opposite of the Schlossberg, what makes the Scherbe an ideal starting point to have a night out. And whatâs a true asset of this place is its long opening hours, Monday to Saturday until 1 am and as for the cellar even longer. From Graz with Love!Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann

small restaurant with 8 tables. reservation recommended. very friendly staff. smoking allowed at the bar no separation to the dining area but as a non smoker i didnt feel disturbed at all. very small menu, changes weekly, one chef in one tiny kitchen preparing good food from good produce. highly recommended !! It is really a teeny tiny place so dont plan a romantic evening with your other half because chances are you ll be sitting in "groping" distance to the next customer. just sayin!
