Reviews on International food in Graz, Styria, Austria. A bevy of universities give Austria's second-largest city its lively pace. Baroque palaces are a pleasant contrast with 16th-century courtyards and provocative modern buildings. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, teems with fine architecture, including the Burg castle complex, with its Gothic double staircase, and the graceful Uhrturm clock tower. A funicular takes visitors up the dramatic bluff. The River Mur dashes through the city, and thermal springs dot the surrounding countryside.

Very nice restaurant close to the hotel I stay when I am in Graz for work. Menu is original but not very wide, staff really polite but I am lactose intolerant and it was difficult for me to choose. Anyway, rib eye and veggies were very good!Hello Eleonorab925514,Thank for your feedback. We present dishes from famous chefs and famous food from all over the world. Guests enjoy a culinary journey around the world with us, as our menu changes at least 4 times a year. Please ask next time one of our waiters, they will be happy to help you which dishes are prepared without lactose and you can enjoy complaining. We look forward to your next visit with us.best regardsyour Streets Team

The "thomawirt" - restaurant and bar, as well as traditional and seasonal cuisine in a restaurant, invites you to linger on three floors in the center of Graz. From breakfast to lunch to dinner - every Sunday with live music. A fine selection of austrian
Come on guys. You have a greatly stylised place with all the possibilities in the world. Your own beer and all. But no, you still decided to serve me industry made kalbsbutterschnitzel with industry made potatoe purée. At least the onion sauce seemed to have something house made, or than it was just a good purchase... Please make yourself a proper restaurant. Service was friendly. Extra star due to that.Dear Lemmy75. Thanks for your recension of the 9th of July. We take every criticism very seriously and try to improve our quality. We are happy to forward your feedback to our service.Best regards, Philipp Hagmann and your thomawirt-team.

Me and my wife came here for her birthday and we were not to sure what to expect. We called and reserved a table and the woman who answered spoke perfect English. She told us she had a high chair for a baby. When we arrived the high chair was at the table waiting for us. Must say this us a 1st for me, great customer service which is usually lacking from the Graz restaurants. We were escorted to a beautifully decorated and bright dinning area completely free from smoke, again a pleasure for the Graz eateries. We ordered the day menu which consisted of cream of spinach soup and sausage, cabbage and sausage. Both were great, the dessert had a mixture of tastes that didn't work for me however it was all great. In the summer there is a outside area that looks down onto strassgang and would be a perfect area to sit and drink for a few hours. A absolute must do if your in Graz, summer or winter Well recommended

Typical styrian restaurant with saisonal kitchen, local meat, local vegetables, local fruits, desserts, white wine, red wine, local schnaps, please make a reservation!!!!!
In a quiet street on the other side of the Mur river, this excellent tavern serves very good traditional Austrian food and beer in very comfortable and relaxed surroundings, with a smile. I can particularly recommend the schnitzel and the carpaccio. Portion sizes are typically large and the restaurant is good value for Austria.

Wonderful garden, great personnel and service.Focus on drinks.I assume the chef has not been present the day we were there. The risotto was not good in every possible aspect: fully cooked through rice, litres of oil on the plate, fried onion rings!!!! on top of some tasteless chanterells ... No comment.Dear Q1445Dlthomask,thank you for your Feedback. We are sorry that our Risotto didn't meet your expactations. Due to your praise of our garden, personnel and service, we are convinced we will meet the next time your taste by our many other meals. kind regardsYours Eckstein-Team

A very elegant restaurant, adjacent to the Casino. But no gambling here, the player wins. Good ingredients, well executed dishes, and a a great service. We tried a number of the open wines, and all of them were excellent. Great concept to allow pairing of the wine with the dishes. Dear TheHappyCamper2013,thank you for your nice words. We are very happy you enjoyed the evening in the cuisino. We will pass on the nice words to our staff, it is always wonderful to hear compliments. Please do visit again. Have a wonderful day. We offer first class food with an uncomplicated and professional service. Vegetarians will find a delicious meal on our menu, too.
I visited this steak restaurant last year whilst working on the F1. The food last year was much better and the quality was excellent. This years visit was a disappointment. I ordered a rib eye steak medium rare with two sides of grilled veg and mixed beans. The spinalis part of the steak was well done (overcooked) with the central eye of the meat looked to be medium rare. I was hungry having started my travels for the UK at 5am so decide not to say anything. Whilst trying to eat the central eye piece I almost gagged due to the amount of salt it was cooked with. One of the waitresses caught my reaction as I was trying to eat and came over. I tried to explain that the steak was seasoned excessively and I could not really eat it. She want away spoke to one of the waiters then nothing happened for 30mins. By this time I had eaten the veg and sliced a piece from the inside of the steak To eat due to hunger and put it down to exprience. As I was finishing a waiter approached me apologising and saying he will do something. This something was to remove the â¬4 beans from the bill! Not something you would expect to be acceptable from the premier steak restaurant with pricing to match in Graz. Disappointed.

Artistically presented, delicious food and friendly staff made this an outstanding dining experience. We came upon dreizehn on our first night in Graz, it was a wonderful introduction to the city. We tried the 4 course Gauster's surprise tasting menu. The portions were very generous.
