The name is actually Ponika's Palace. This is the only place in town catering western food, and one of only two that I found with a menu in English (the other being Sun Tha restaurant, near the markets). I think the ariferside guesthouse does drinks and maybe some food, but I didn't check it out.Mostly I was enjoying eating at the markets, which is much cheaper and a more interesting experience, but I did visit Ponika's twice. They serve Indian, Khmer and western food. I found the chicken amok, muesli with fruit salad, and iced coffee to be very good. The owners are wonderful. During one of my visits, a bout of food poisoning (not from their food!) hit and they spent over an hour helping me until I felt able to walk. Very embarrassing, but I was extremely grateful. Good people, good food, filling a niche in Stung Treng.

Relax after a busy day in our lounge bar with light snacks, a beer or a cocktail.
If you want to meet and mix with local Stung Treng Khmer people who speak English, share a beer or cocktail, and just hang out together this is the place! 10 minute walk from the riverside, the perfect garden for relaxing in with alcohol and non-alcohol drinks available and a snack menu including proper "toasties". I met the owner Sokchantra Noun and two radio VJ's, a teacher student and an administrator at the local radio station. Guitar Milk is a real oasis of calm in the dusty Stung Treng.

We had lunch here, on our way to the frontier, exiting Cambodia and entering Laos
Extraordinary interior detail on the restaurant ceiling and walls, left over from whatever its previous existence
The food is nothing special, but worth going to for the architecture if you are passing through

Not alot of selections for (great) coffee in Stung Treng. Good coffee, friendly service, and nice facility (a/c), clean place. I recommend a latte or the avocado smootie.

Not to much choice in this town ( if you don’t really have to be here please stay away ). This is one of the places that has some decent food. The fried rice with egg was ok, the chicken with ginger was mainly ginger. It fills the stomach. More staff than clients and cats and dogs all around. Best advice; before you come here bring some food. You’ll need it.
