Strombeek-Bever is a town with approximately 11,500 inhabitants in the municipality of Grimbergen, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. A suburb on the north side of Brussels, it is separated from Grimbergen proper by the R0 ring road around the city. It borders Laken to the south and the municipality of Vilvoorde to the east.

Visited the restaurant on a quiet Thursday lunch. Friendly waiter welcomed us, assigned us a table in a very rustic setting. immediately asked for drinks, appreciated, we were thursty. Ordered a nice starter, KOP met SAUS, already forgot what it was but it tasted excellent with a beer. So horse meat I hear you say, why? Well, because it's healthy, tasty and a typical dish in that great city of Vilvoorde. French fries hand cut, mayonaise home made, salad prepared at the table by our waiter and a perfect cut of meat, prepared as it should. I took the 200 g steak, was sufficient for lunch, noticed the owner's mother (and former owner i was told) enter the house and greet everybody, i saw all kinds of guests, old to young, trendy and traditional and I saw happy people, those that want a restaurant for its quality and smile, nothing fancy, fairly priced. I liked it !

For many years, Spectrum has been one of my favourite restaurants for lunch/dinner with family/friends/business colleagues. The menu boasts some of the best Belgian food - with classics like l'américain (beef tartare) or seasonal dishes with asparagus, mussels or pheasant - but also more exotic dishes like Thai carpaccio or chicken red curry. My all time favourite is the pavé de bœuf, sauce poivre crème concassé.
The menu is updated monthly to reflect seasonal dishes. Friendly, efficient service. Outdoor Terrace. Excellent value for the price paid.

went here for lunch. New concept: high end food available in tapas. We had the 7 course tapas menu, which is reasonably priced at 49€. All dishes come nicely presented, correct portions and well prepared. We espacially appreciated the king crab and the ravioli with gamba. Very good formula! Friendly staff and nice greek wines to discover.

My husband, our youngest son and I went saturday to the restaurant Blink, for the first time for the 46th.birthday of our son. We were delighted by everything : the quality of the meals and the freshness of it. The elegance of the plates very well decorated, the service who was kind and professionnal. The aperitives : CAVA first class and the white wine Sauterne (from la Loire) who was delicious and chilled very well. And the meat and the fish were super fresh and we were very very happy to have chosen this restaurant. It's a quite place, it's possible to eat in the garden when weather permits it. We shall go back because we were so enchanted.

I discovered this restaurant through Tripadvisor as I was looking for good restaurants in the neighbourhood. So we went there with friends and were pleasantly surprised. The food there was very good, the service nice. The only thing that I would change are the wine glasses. They are not fancy , more the type that you would expect in a brasserie or café and this restaurant definitely deserves better. However, this did not ruin our dinner as all the rest was really good. We enjoyed our dinner a lot and will go back. A nice discovery that you would not expect when you drive in the street.

Brasserie Heysel is located in the North of Brussels. There is a private parking on place.
The menu proposes a nice choice of Belgian and International food. I took the pasta with trufles and funghi porcini. The dish was excellent: tasty but maybe a little bit too small.
We took also a dessert (black chocolate brownie) which was delicious.
The place was nice and the staff was very efficient and friendly.

I went here based on the reviews and was happy with a waffle with chocolate sauce on and my daughter enjoyed hers with banana slices on too. They are quite busy on a busy tourist street with lots of main shops on. Enjoy taking a breather from your shopping for a tasty treat!

We, my wife and myself, were there, invited by a very good friend to celebrate his birthday. We had the opportunity to dine in the kitchen, from which we could watch the functioning of a Michelin star restaurant, in particular the coordinated ballet of the staff, among which the maestria of the lady of the place.
Cuisine is largely above average: every plate is a work of art, accompanied by an eclectic choice of wines. Without boasting, it's difficult to surprise me with an unexpected selection of wines, but this was an occasion for an exercise in modesty. Brilliant from start to end.
Take the menu of the day and let the host select the accompanying wines, it's certainly not cheap but you'll discover new and delicious flavors.
