We had an amazing 3 night stay over the Jubilee Weekend. The staff are all incredible, Chanel, Ellen, Shan and Jessica all deserve special mentions. The room was amazing, incredible views of Old Trafford and of Media City, we honestly couldn't have asked for better. The rooms were spotless, the shower was amazing and the toiletries were lush. A nice touch with the mini fridge and sweets provided. Not mention the bed and pillows are so comfortable! Cafe Football was brilliant, food was amazing, drinks even better and breakfast definitely was appreciated and cooked wonderfully. A must-stay venue for any Man Utd supporter. Honestly, we can't wait for our next trip to Manchester and to stay here again. Thank you for making our long weekend getaway unforgettable.

If your disabled, ring through to make sure about the room, I was given a small room adapted for a person in a wheelchair, was given just one big towel between two adults for two days, the bathroom was small, considering I’m in a wheelchair there is a step into the bathroom, the chair wasn’t great, grab rails just the one, wasn’t told if there was a fire drill what I’d do especially as I was on the second floor, no emergency pull cord in the main bedroom, no chair to sit in just a bed, stayed in a few premier inn, this has to be the worst experience I’ve had, all the rest was great.

Stayed here as part of Virgin Experience Days hotel & Man United tour. No way is this even remotely 4 star hotel. Shabby appearance from the outside, entrance carpet very dirty & badly worn. Check in woefully inadequate, no info on hotel amenities, dining room location, etc...despite being carried out by staff member I'd communicated with over previous days to arrange a 2nd night stay. 2nd night booked via booking.com & check in staff member aware of this but he did not request payment for second night on arrival so we assumed it would payment upon checkout as we have done at numerous hotels previously. Had multiple missed calls from the hotel during our second day (no voicemails left and my phone was out of battery life) and called at 9.30pm that night to advise we had not paid for the room!!! Advised my card details from booking.com had been declined...despite me using same card all day with no issues. Hotel blamed booking.com who advised it was hotel attempting to take payment and not them. Subsequently paid the hotel bill using the same card they said was declined with no apology, no acceptance of any responsibility and a very rude staff member on check out who was argumentative and dismissive of our complaints which included photos of the disgustingly mouldy bathroom, filthy walls and cracks in the ceiling. BTW, this was an upgraded room from that offered on the virgin experience...supposedly a king suite. God only knows how bad the original room was. Food awful...chef clearly has a thing for over cooking deep fried foods so it was all hard and crispy. Poor dinner menu...only 3 starters & dinner bill could not be added to room bill as 'systems not connected'. Cooked breakfast disgusting, 1st day was table service and deep fried streaky bacon was so hard it wouldn't cut, fried egg snotty, mushrooms overspiced and tasted of curry...all lukewarm. Toast self service via conventional 2 slice toaster which took ages. Second day cooked breakfast was buffet style and everything cold & cooked as bad as 1st day. For a supposed King Suite, the room was sparse, very shabby with horrible 'view' of factory looking building next door. Bathroom was horrible & needed a good clean with bleach. Mouldy all over and discoloured. Walls filthy and ceiling cracked. This trip was a Xmas present for my partner and I am utterly embarrassed as to the state of this place. Rooms not cleaned daily, only every 3 days or on request for extra £7. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

DJ Suites The Element is a family friendly ran hotel situated 10 minutes from Manchester city centre and only a 5 minute walk from Old Trafford football stadium & Old Trafford cricket ground.
I booked this place way back in June 2021 via booking.com ready for our stay tomorrow night and just yesterday they said my card had been declined so I checked and there’s nothing wrong with my card I use it weekly. They tried again today declined again and cancelled the booking. I left messages on their answerphone they didn’t return my call. Booking.com got in touch with them today and said my card had been declined by them and they had cancelled it. Room not available as it’s already been booked in the space of 5 mins. Ridiculous. I rang them a while back to check my booking was ok as they went taking further bookings this year and the man said it was but they book out to key workers. Appalling is a polite word to use. I quickly phoned another hotel nearby and they got me a room for tomorrow night and my card was just fine. Glad we are not staying at this place given the reviews I have just read above. I thought this might have been a dodgy set up. Shame I can’t give my review minus 1.
