This is a good change of pace from Pizza Hut. There are a couple family owned pizza joints, and all are pretty good. Pizza is a subjective thing; I like Joes, but I also like the other pizza places her in town as well.

I think DQ is over priced for what you get. Streator has other ice cream options that are cheaper and better tasting.

We love the country cupboard they have simple but great home style food. They open pretty early so you can go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We always had fast, friendly service and never been disappointed. It's a great place to eat!

Extraordinary Chicken. Everyday. Chix specializes in fresh chicken entrees along with serving up some tasty American cuisine. Serving cold beer and spirits 7 days a week.
Ate here for sup with the grandsons and son-in-law for supper. Waitress waited on us right away. Did have to wait quite a bit since one of the orders was for Fried Chicken which takes longer to cook. Food was hot and tasty when it showed up. Would stop here again.

I don't eat here a lot, but I do make it out here once in a while. I like the food. It is well done. The atmosphere is great as well. Good food, good prices, what's not to love?

My significant other and I were in town for my brother's wedding. My mom took us out to breakfast here one morning, and the food was so yummy! I have eaten here in the past, but I felt I should write a quick review this time. It's consistently great food! Thank you!!

I met some friends for appetizers and drinks here. We each ordered an appetizer: fried pickles, homemade bar chips, and chicken strips. I enjoyed the friend pickles as well as a draft beer in a chilled mug (bonus). The atmosphere was clean and our server was very friendly.

I live about 40 miles away, but have been going to The Pines for years.
I normally get the prime rib, it's always done perfectly. I have also ordered pasta, chicken and seafood. All of which is terrific.
They have a full bar, nice atmosphere and great service. For sure, you won't be rushed. You can enjoy a meal with family, friends or a special someone.
About 20 miles from Starved Rock State Park, I would highly recommend.
*All servers are great, but Amy is the best. Ask for her!
