Located in southern Vermont less than three hours from Boston and four from New York City, Stratton brings a big mountain resort experience that's close to home. Stratton offers skiing and snowboarding with the area's best uphill capacity, a variety of lodging options, a slopeside Village for shopping and dining, ice skating, a Nordic Center complete with XC skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking as well as the Coca-Cola tube park, a snow tubing experience that's lite up a night for maximum winter fun. Choose from a selection of lodging options from classic ski lodge rooms to a range of studio apartments, all the way to five-bedroom units.
Drove over to Stratton VT from Albany NY last weekend and it was a lovely drive and we ended up at the mountain resort, just to spend some time enjoying the fresh snow and ski resort ambience. It was crowded but a fun place for kids and adults.

Enjoy the convenience of a classic Stratton lodge located just a quick shuttle to the slopes (winter only). Enjoy Table 43.1 restaurant for dinner and drinks on site. Free WiFi to hotel guests. Black Bear Lodge offers a limited number of rooms for well-behaved pets for an additional fee.
I've been coming for years. It is not fancy but I find it is adequate for my needs. Rooms are pretty basic, in particular the small table and hard chairs. Pros: Great location. Walkable to the pedestrian village (in street shoes), shuttle to the main ski base area. Large Hot tub. Cons: Thin walls and floors so it's very loud. Loud wall mounted HVAC units. Breakfast has varied over the years from "continental" to basic chafing dishes of eggs, potatoes, sausage.

We booked through Amex travel visiting family nearby. After studying the pictures I booked a condo on the first floor that was privately owned by a family of skiers. Our room was very very clean and tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath. You have to do your research because every condo is different. Being on the first floor allows you access in and out from your patio and easy access to the pool. The quaint village is directly across the street. We enjoyed the pizza, market sandwiches, and mulligans, hiking and shopping.

Enjoy the convenience and comfort of living on the Village Common. Just steps from the snow front and Village shops and restaurants, Long Trail House offers studio, 1, 2, 3 bedroom condominiums, plus the 5 bedroom Penthouse. The Hearth Room beckons with a wood burning fireplace. The sauna is perfect after a dip in the pool or hot tubs, accessible year-round by a heated patio. Heated underground parking is ideal for New England weather conditions. Fully furnished, each home has a gas fireplace and air conditioning for year-round comfort.
Had a studio room. Good size - clean and includes fully stocked kitchenette, gas fireplace, Murphy bed (not the most comfortable so consider that if you are a poor sleeper) and underground parking. Facility has sauna, and outdoor hot tub and pool as well as light continenetal breakfast. Package options include discount lift tickets and access to gym. Walk to lifts. Overall very happy and would stay there again!

Ground floor level so easy access to the backyard and cross-country/snowshoeing trails. You can walk to the mountain or take the shuttle, which runs regularly.
