Attending the Grand on high recommendation of friends I was excited to try this restaurant for the first time We ordered the degustation menu, 6 courses and optional matching wines which we passed on.Radicchio with balsamic vinegar , pear and a delicious creamy cheese purée was incredible with bold intense flavours Duck liver parfait on home made brioche Gnocchi with burnt butter and sage Spanish mackerel Mushroom risotto (signature dish of the restaurant)Porterhouse steak Italian donut with coffee ice creamThe serving sizes were just right given the number of courses you are very well fed The food is faultless and cooked superbly, the flavours are bold and intense and beautiful.A note for all business owners however We had one young lady with an eastern euro accent who was lovely, attentive and engaging The second waiter mid 40s possibly French was a disaster and would deter me from returning or recommending this restaurant He practically dropped the plates on the table when he served and described the meal he was providing as âthe steakâ or âice creamâHe was walking away from the table before the plate had stopped vibrating - it was as though he was angry at our presence I watched him serve numerous tables with the same attitude I would never tolerate behaviour like this in my business ...

First time dining at this great little restaurant. Last minute booking to try something local. The booking had been overlooked but lucky they did have a table for 2. We chose the Sunday special which was great value. Paella and Sangria for two.The meal was served quite fast, sizzling hot and full of seafood and really tasty. Sangria was served in a jug and quite generous. The restaurant ambiance, the decoration and the staff were all v. good. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu. Not necessarily fine dining but good tasty food in a pleasant and congenial atmosphere.

Greeted warmly by a Parisian.This is the place to be.You have several dining options for seating.Normal Table seatingKitchen Bar seatingPrivate dining area for a small group.The food and service has been has been consistently good.My only disappointment is they no longer have my favourite dessert"Strawberries and cream"I had to have the OranginaHopefully it will be back on the menu.The hotel has a character of it's own.Will be back to have the Sunday Set menu.Thank you for your lovely feedback.
