We went on a quiet night having not been since it opened and the high standards we saw last time were still there. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We had two of the set menus as there were several of us and both were delicious. This place is well set up to cater for vegetarians. Well worth a visit.

Tom Yam first opened in 2013 and takes its name from the traditional soup, Tom Yam which is a hot and spicy soup that's seen as a national favourite in Thailand. At Tom Yam, all of the food is created by Thai chefs, so you can be sure it's of the highest
We went to Tom Yam on a Saturday night with friends having booked a table in advance. We were seated in a booth upstairs which was great, if not a little close to the table behind meaning the staff has to squeeze through. We ordered cocktails and beers (Singha on draft) whilst we looked at the menu. The Sam Lor cocktails were fruity and delicious. We ordered for starters and the Thai fish cakes and chicken satay were by far the tastiest. We then had four mains - weeping tiger, sea bass in red curry sauce, massaman chicken and tamarind duck. All were equally delicious and cooked to perfection. We had coconut and jasmine rice to go with and sampled another cocktail, the Phuket Sunrise which came alight and tasted delicious. Very good quality cocktails expertly mixed. Only criticism was that the staff could have been friendlier, but this didn't affect our experience and we'll certainly be back.

After reading the reviews, I thought we'd try it. Not in a particularly nice area. My own fault I suppose, but it wasn't until we started ordering we found out they haven't got a license, so I had to drive round to Morrison's to buy a bottle, which was another disappointment as they don't keep wines in a fridge. The starters were far too oily. The sticky rice was more like glue rice. The other main courses were tasty.

I like Thai food and as this was my first time here I thought I would start with Thai green curry as a check of whether the food was standard or not. I was very happy. The food was tasty, hot, reasonably well presented and not too much forgotten. I like that there's a variety of restaurants in Reddish and was glad that I tried this place. I would go again. In fact, I will go again. Prawns also great and everyone seemed totally content with their food too.
