Reviews on International food in Kista, Stockholm County, Sweden including Scandic Victoria Tower, Cafe Leaf, Lilla Barkarby Bar & Matsal, STHLM TAPAS Vasastan
Restaurants in Kista
Mixed hot and cold buffet. Contains typical Swedish dishes and an extensive salat buffet including cold cuts. This place is mainly frequented by local businesses as it’s in an industrial area. Can get crowded and noisy, keep in mind that the Swedish people lunch early (from 11:30 am onwards)

Not in the frenzied food court nor is this a standard coffeeshop. It's a place with great pastries, salads, special treats, all home-made, including some unique. It's in the middle of the main hallway, near the door of the mall, but it's still cozy and a nice place to visit. Much quieter than the food court and much better food than the chain cafés.

Lilla Barkarby offers the best and most interesting selection of Belgian beers this side of Brussels. There is no doubt that you will encounter fabulous labels that you have never heard of, but that will broaden your experience. Just tell the knowledgeable and passionate staff about tour preferences and they will find something that match your taste and then some. There is also a very well curated wine list and the best single malts are all there. The menu is small, but very well thought through, and the chef never misses a beat, whether he is serving moules frites, duck or a very tasty pigs cheek. Everything is well balanced, perfectly prepared and well presented. The restaurant looks really dreary from the outside, but once inside it is quite reminiscent of Ramsays old Boxwood Café. Dark wood tones, sophisticated, classy and quiet. We are really priviliged to have a place like this in a suburb where one would expect to find smelly pizzerias offering watered down bargain lager.

This was a superb evening comprising great food, with many great choices and really friendly service Between us we managed to try half the tapas menu and are resolved to come back and try the other half. We particularly enjoyed the charcuterie and the halloumi fries, but to pick two out is unfair on the rest. The lamb, shrimp dumplings and goats cheese with honey were also excellent. Indeed, across 16 choices we did not find a bad option. For beer we tried the draft beer. Don't. The draft is average, however the 100 watt IPA is an unexpected delight.Service was exceptionally friendly and chatty. We were made to feel very welcome. A great place and highly recommended.
