Experience memorable moments in our Pivnica Tavern infused with traditional Croatian recipes combined with the best wines and beers from our region. Taste best local olive oils, regional cheese, Dalmatian prosciutto & authentic Croatian dishes with locally sourced ingredients and destination-inspired flavors.
We are staying at the hotel and wanted to have dinner there. We got the two traditional Croatian dishes (a seafood mix cooked in wine) and a meat (cooked for hours). Seafood was delicious, the meat was ok. Served with gnocchi. Service was slow...and not that good. Kids had pizza and liked it.

We spent 5 nights at Le Méridien Lav and each morning our breakfast was a delight. The staff were friendly and efficient and the choice of food was very good. Lovely local cheeses, meats, salads, grilled vegetables, lots of fresh fruit, freshly made yogurt, eggs cooked to order, honey from the comb, pastries, preserves and large selection of breads. A real pleasure to start each day in such style.

We stopped by for dinner while driving past. The service and food was great. We had a seafood platter that was great if you enjoy shellfish. They kindly split a meal for our two children which was perfect. Our children also enjoyed the playground which was next to the restaurant.

The restaurant is not working a la carte anymore (every day). It is now open (Monday-Friday) for groups of with previous reservation and prearranged menus (2 days before) and also for catering.
A really good restaurant hidden inside it's own hedge! This is special, it's beautiful, calm, run as only a top chef runs his own restaurant, an excellent cellar, and really memorable, fresh, fresh dishes. All that and yet unpretentious and remarkably reasonable. We soon found that it knocked spots off other good local restaurants and yet was less expensive than many - you see you can have your cake and eat it! Well, squid risotto, roast peppers, salad, vegetables and herbs straight out of the garden, succulent is an overused word, but succulent steaks and chicken, al dente pasta, sublime puds...... Lord may I regain my self control!

Situato nel Lungo Mare di Stobrec
We visited this restaurant upon a recommendation. It was pretty crowded and hosts seem to be stressed.
We placed our order, food arrived after 45mins. We have had 3x mixed Grill and 1 Spaghetti. Spaghetti was "ok" but the rest was cold. Additional rice has been forgotten, salt needed 2 requests to get delivered. We asked the waiter about the cold food but he didn't really reply. Said something about "boss" and if we want to have some bread.
Food was also very oily as you can see on the pictures.
We have not been offered any compensation or even excuse for such bad food and bad service. We can NOT recommend this place!

No Reservations
After a very tiring day traveling across Split we fortunately ended up at Villa Spiza based on the recommendation at Lonely Planet for a dinner. We did not make any advance reservation, hence the chances looked bleak when we arrived. There was a long queue, hence we had to wait almost 45 mins, however had fun while we waited. The 2 ladies managing almost everything (Everything!) served beer while we waited and the time went by watching people across the narrow lane and by the the smell of sea food.
Whatever we selected (Seafood pasta, Mussels, seafood risotto, calamari) were heavenly! The hosts made us feel warm and enjoy our food till the end.. …think we were the last to leave the place! (actually, never wanted to )
Be there.. try Villa Spiza … you will get much more in the 2 hours you spend there!

Opened in 2013, Dvor has become one of the best Croatian restaurants in just three years. Dvor features a serene and intimate environment with spectacular views of Adriatic sea and the nearby Islands of Brac and Solta. The cooking philosophy of chef and part-owner Boris Asanović is the preparation of traditional Dalmatian dishes at a higher level. The menu changes seasonally. In the spring and summer is more based on sea, and in the autumn and winter to the land products. The wine list is based on the Dalmatian wines and wines of other Croatian regions.
We had a party of 10 and the staff served us smoothly and attentively without problem. Delicious food, creative menu, wonderful wine menu, dark and cozy atmosphere at night with a beautiful view. The restaurant is on the water, and in lovely weather the outdoor Seating looked very appealing. A bit of a distance from downtown, so keeps it from being overly touristy. This was recommended to us and we were not disappointed.

The owner of our apartment suggested we go here for meat even though this place is called a pizzeria. For 87 kuna (less than $18) we got a huge platter of grilled meat with fries and grilled vegetables. We could not eat it all. It was delicious and I would recommend this place for meat despite the fact that it is a pizzeria.

Dinner for two, we ordered few dishes to share and all we delisious. Sea food risotto couls have had more flavor, but grilled shrimps were exellent and great pizza for reasonable price. We sat outside and enjoyed beer and wine. Sadly cake was out so we had ice cream for dessert. Service was ok and food came quickly.
