Hiking trails and art galleries abound in Stellenbosch, but it's wine that takes center stage. More than 100 wine cellars, most open to the public, surround the oak-lined South African town, and tasting tours operate daily. Winter brings a four-day festival celebrating the local vintages. The historic town center houses the trading-post style shop Oom Samie se Winkel, the Neo-Gothic Moederkerk church, and museums dedicated to toys, military memorabilia, autos and early life on the Cape.

Le Pommier is an intimate country lodge situated in the Cape Winelands. There are 6 rustic Suites, 7 Country Rooms and 2 self-catering units. The ideal setting for relaxation, the lodge is situated in a tranquil environment amongst the vineyards of the Western Cape. Ranging R1150 - R1800 pp per night, depending on season.
I won the romantic couples get away, but on arrival, nothing was organized. Had to ask for the complimentary bottle of wine. Supper was absolutely terrible, steak was tough, pasta was tasteless. Room was absolutely stunning, but the fridge was not on and we could not use the fireplace due to it being out of use. Breakfast was awesome. We decided to leave on the Saturday afternoon as it was raining and cold. Wine was awesome. Needless to day we were extremely disappointed in the whole experience. Thank you

I stayed with my daughter for the long weekend. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I loved sitting around the pool while my daughter swam, sipping some beautiful wine with a beautiful view. Our room was lovely and we found a game we'd never seen before and played our own made up version in the evening.

I’ve always visited Delaire estate on our trips to South Africa for lunch . This time we decided to spend 2 nights staying at the lodge . The accommodations and wonderful amenities provided were out of this world . From the aromatic hand sanitiser, room fragrance , beverages, teas and snack it was superb. Treatments at the spa made us feeling e royalty . Our breakfast with the stunning view and all the gluten-free toast were a nice way to make the upsetting experience the previous night at Indochine ( the restaurant) What a pity the staff at Indochine were so unprofessional and badly trained. South Africa has so many wonderful first class eateries . It was so upsetting to get such a dreadful experience in such an upmarket venue .

The room was tastefully furnished and luxurious. Great bar full of snacks. The autumn colours in the vineyards were quite spectacular against the mountain backdrops. One can't help but feel the tension and stress roll off your shoulders with each deep inhale and exhale. Great breakfast too. Beautiful venue for a wedding. Friendly and helpful staff. Great wines too!

Have just returned from a two night break at Clos Malverne. The room we stayed in was absolutely spotless, was beautifully furnished , very spacious and had lovely views over the vineyard. The room had a king sized bed, excellent air conditioning and had a very large en suite bathroom with a great walk in shower. We booked the Lifestyle package which included two nights bed and breakfast, lunch with wine pairing , a couples spa visit and three bottles of wine. Michelle, who organised the reservation for us , was extremely helpful and did everything possible to enhance the experience for us. The food in the restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice and lovely wine choices and the staff were truly welcoming and professional. We intend to make a return visit next month.

Wild Clover Accommodation offers 6 identical, fully equipped self catering cottages. Each Cottage overlooks a Wildlife Sanctuary that is home to a diverse population of wild animals and huge variety of bird life. This is complimented by a beautiful panoramic view of the Cape Peninsula and of course the world famous Table Mountain. A 2hr game drive through the wildlife sanctuary can be arranged at our reception.
For our anniversary we decided to just do an overnight stay with our two sons at Wild Clover Farm. Our accommodation was simple but completely comfortable. The view of the wildlife reserve that backs onto the farm was spectacular. We were looking straight onto the watering hole and had the joy of seeing giraffe, zebra, spring buck, gemsbok to name a few. We watched the most incredible sunset. The patio area was private and pretty complete with outdoor braai. Our evening was spent star gazing and our boys just loved it! There is also a small bespoke brewery a few 100 meters from the cottages and we took a walk to purchase some craft beers which were so reasonably priced and delicious. The farm also offers horse riding but we didn't get a chance to do that. The cottage is self catering but there is a brilliant child friendly restaurant on site as well where we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast with excellent service from Elijah. Our kids enjoyed the gorgeous outdoor play area while we waited for our food. This accommodation suits small and/or young families as the cottages are not very big. The cottage was well equipped with all that was needed to make our stay pleasant. All in all a lovely stay and we came home feeling as if we had been away the whole weekend.

-Absolute tranquility amidst the vineyard.-Originally Cape Dutch lodges with a thatched roof-private terrace overlooking the 26 meter infinity pool. State of the art bathroom, fireplace and luxury Kitchenette inside the room, furthermore use of an iPad and free Wifi access. We care for your maximum safety and security.
We actually stayed at Aaldering over a year ago but hadn’t had a chance to write a review until now. This is an amazing hotel that we would highly recommend to stay at. The rooms are huge & we had a massive pool entirely to ourselves. The hotel is located in beautiful vineyards a short drive from Stellenbosch (Uber exists but we would probably recommend to hire a car if you can). The owner is very attentive, super friendly and helpful. The value for money at this place is incredible – we will definitely come back (and we’re not even huge wine drinkers…if you are interested in wines you absolutely must come to this place)
