This place is based on a simple formula: fresh fish simply cooked in a wonderful location next to the sea.
All the fresh fish is cooked in the same way: grilled, filleted and served with roast peppers and tomatoes, all beautifully fresh. Fish types are sorted into first, second and third class according to price. Ask to see the fish before choosing; they are stored in boxes of ice.
There are also some small dishes: our prawns with tomato and feta sauce were very tasty - however there were only two big prawns on top and lots of small ones underneath. All the fish and shellfish type are marked as being fresh or frozen.
As others have said, it's a wonderful experience to sit right next to the water looking out to the city lights reflected in the water and the sunset.
The restaurant opens at 7 pm. Prices are moderate for the quality offered. Dinner for two with two starters and a shared fish with a bottle of mid-priced Boutari wine was 62 Euro.
Service is efficient and helpful, without a particularly personal touch.

We ate here 3 times in two weeks . Fabulous views , great service , really friendly and lovely food. I can recommend the Crepes , the cheese pies and the Moussaka . I think we tried most dishes and they were all nice . They even ran us home after one meal to save us getting 2 taxis . Super place

After Reading the reviews I decided to eat here. It's a pretty taverna overlooking a sandy beach. The starters were tasty- fried courgette and salad. The mains were a huge disappointment-lamb chops had very very little meat on them. The mousaka was sent back......They apologised and didn't charge me for the dish. They kindly gave me raki and baklava on the house.

Having as a model the hight product quality and the tasting result we give you a variety of international delicious proposals
A group of 10 Greeks we enjoyed all sorts of meat dishes some salads and their special twist potatoes. We marvelled with music and songs that started at 10 in the evening. The venue is ideal for dinner as it gets rather hot around noon. The lady singer is quite capable with a wide range of Greek and English songs.

I ate here a lot whilst visiting Crete for a family wedding. The menu is extensive and written in greek, english, french, and german, though there isn't much description of what the dishes actually are so you had to ask for clarification sometimes. The waiter is very kind and understanding, and would always recommend us alternative, traditional dishes based on our initial thoughts of what we wanted to eat. He was flexible and always promised a good meal, and never broke his promise.
The food was always delicious and fresh, and service was relatively quick. The view from the restaurant is beautiful, and the beach is also a lovely, enclosed place that is sheltered from the wind.

Being vegetarian and coeliac definitely presents it's challenges when travelling. We thought To Stachi would be a great find.We found the restaurant through tripadvisor and was looking forward to it ALL day!! However, I actually think this was the WORST restaurant I have ever been to... The food was just terrible. My partner was offered bread and got a basket of bread (extra charge on bill) which was rock hard/stale.. unedible. He decided to get the "special" of the day.. it was a plate of microwaved to within an inch of its life slop. Like literally the vegetables were slop.(Like seriously.....?! This is supposed to be a vegetarian restaurant?!?!?!?!) I ordered a chickpea soup....... and I received a bowl of water with salt in it and some chickpeas floating around... Just pure despicable food. I would NOT recommend this place at all. We literally pushed the food around the plate, paid and left to go eat in another restaurant straight after as we were starving (and now grumpy..!)

Charming little taverna just next to the dock in Tersanas.
The cutest little taverna around. All painted pink with lovely management and staff serving drinks and lighter food. The setting is great, the floor is soft sand. Recommended.

This place is simply great! Not so far from the beach and yet not spoilt like its neighbouring restaurant/bar Sea View (avoid that place).
The food is really tasty! We had stifado and gemista orfana as well as some Cretan green salad called "Vlathi" -- an absolute must if you come to this place, it has been one of the tastiest green salad I've had in a very long time. The garden is huge and filled with all kinds of trees, which makes it really peaceful.
Worth the money.

The restaurant is in a great location overlooking Stavros beach. Good menu with some lovely Greek dishes. We ordered the Squid (starter) and chicken salad to share and both were amazing. Big portions and reasonably priced. Lovely fresh bread as well. Both times we at there (lunch) it was busy and a nice escape from the Sunshine. Don't go if you're in a rush, they take their time there and that's what we liked. We'd definitely go again.

Open 365 days a year. English speaking. Serving International, English and American type of food. Kitchen opening hours Monday to Thursday from 13.00hrs to 23.00hrs Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.30hrs to 23.00hrs Bar stays open until late.
This American themed restaurant, servers American style food (I had T bone steak which was delicious) It plays 80's and 90's music and has a large screen sports TV. The owner was very friendly and there were quite a few American service men eating there when we attended.
