Vale a pena, fui com amigos, pedimos uma montagem especial depois de conversar com a proprietária. RecomendadÃssimo. O melhor de Cananéia e um dos melhores sushis que comemos.

Frankly, catastrophic. Service erratic, order was lost and everything came in the wrong order. We ordered oysters for starter but after waiting 50 minutes (yes!) they brought the side-order of vegetables first, then 15 minutes later the oysters (which require no preparation other than shucking), then the main course. The oysters were room temperature, no ice in sight. Then came the main course: marinheira de mexilhão (moules marinières). I have a strong stomach and can eat most things as long as the ingredients are essentially comestible, but this dish was absolutely inedible. The moules were rubbery, tasteless and coated with congealed grease. Rather than being cooked in white white, they seem to have been been fried in what tasted like days-old fat plus vinegar. Which makes sense, as we discovered that the Miramar (while holding itself out as a fish restaurant) does not offer a single drop of white wine, either by the glass or by the bottle. They did manage to dig out a bottle of exorbitantly priced Portuguese red (the more affordable wines from the menu were, of course, out of stock â an old trick). AVOID AVOID AVOID. One of the worst eating experiences of my life, even worse than Brazilian hospital food. Plus it was expensive!! Go to Pontâs, which is five minutesâ walk away.

We were very well served by everyone, the waiter was friendly and attentive and the chef was extremely generous with the portions of food. We asked a dish for two but up to four people could easily have eaten. Well prepared and seasoned. Everything very fresh. The place has a nice rustic style inside that gives this really cozy atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend to anyone. Just remember to go there when you're really hungry and ready to devour anything. ;)

Boa comida, farta e gostosa. A Local grande, arejado.

They were really generous when serving us, with a food portion for one person that could easily feed two. The seafood yakisoba was so good. Never eaten anything like that. Really well seasoned and everything very fresh. The service was also good. The girl that served us was really nice and made us feel really at home. Will definitely go back there next time I drop by Cananéia. The only downside that I can think of is that they don't work with credit or debit cards. That wasn't a problem for us but I guess it could prevent them from getting even more clientele, especially during the high season.

the waiter didnt know that one portion would serve 3 adults so he recommended 1.5 portion, we ended up taking a doggy bag back to the hotel. but the food and reception were awesome.

the Pontes café restaurant offers a classic cuisine offering traditional dishes of French gastronomy, and some of our novelties are the contemporary dishes. we have a select wine list and options in drinks and spirits. come and be amazed by the high gastr
This is real cooking. The chef has lived in France, speaks French, and has brought his savoir-faire back to Cananéia. The tartare de saumon is unforgettable. I managed to identify the olive oil and chives (cebolinha) ingredients, but couldnât figure out what was giving it that slightly umami taste: could it be soy sauce? No, said the chef, it was a hint (just a hint) of Dijon mustard. Spectacular. We went back the second night and were regaled with a marinheira of Lula. Delicious. This restaurant is a real hidden gem, an unexpected find. A place where the chef is selecting ingredients and working hands-on to maintain quality. Go there. The only minor false note was the mousse for dessert, which was overly sweet. But this is Brazil after all, and nobody from any other country can handle the excess of sugar in Brazilian desserts. If youâre not Brazilian, skip the dessert. The rest is excellent.

There was no vegan options in the menu but right away when they realize that I don't eat animal products they came up with two excellent dishes, a mushroom risotto and a palm spaghetti that was just stupendous. I told them right away that they ought include those dishes in their menu and also try to sell that not just to vegans but to everyone. It was so good that I'm sure anyone would like. They treat their costumers very well and are very attentive too. They make you feel at home right from the start. I'll definitely go back there next time I go Cananéia.
