This place is right on the beach and is very large. Their menu offers pretty much everything. We had fish and it was really well done. However, our waiters kept changing and were always out of sight. We ate early around 8pm and there were few other diners there during a weeknight, so I don't know where all the waiters went. They also didn't light any of the candles on the tables until we left, and that really turned the restaurant into a much nicer-looking venue. Could have been much nicer overall.

Without many options in town, this is a fun place to go with a group of friends or to make new friends.It gets crowded, with nice people, good music and ambient. If you want to stay seated drinking you can, if you want to dance you can too.The negative thing of this place, is that the dance floor is a covered area, so it feels like a sauna. Also, in the other areas, there are not enough fans to make a little comfortable place.

They didn't have the strawberry milkshake as they were out of strawberries and so offered cherry. These were glacé so fresh fruit wasn't the reason for no strawberry.Three people were served food before the milkshake arrived.Then the meal arrived by the time they had all finished.The waiter seemed half switched on.Mostly burger or fish & chips.

This is a lovely little bar/restaurant right on the beach. Staff are efficient and pleasant. Food was delicious and freshly cooked. My downfall was the delicious caipirinha cocktail- treat with great respect!!Thanks so much for the positive rating, L H. Always return here : )

The place is located in the seaside boulevard, and is easy to get and park.It is a restaurant, but with the ambient of a bar, so you can choose from finger food or meal/dish.The menu is varied in food and drinks, we tried different dishes, and all were tasty and good quantity to share.They also have live music some nights, and the musicians performing the night I visited, were very good!The service is good and quick.

My traveling buddy and I were in Caraguatatuba for two days en route to our final destination. We speak nearly zero Portugese, so ordering at most eateries can be a challenge. Not at Surf's. First they have an English menu with pictures. This made ordering a snap. When we had questions, our waiter was friendly, patient, and helpful. The food was simply incredible! We tried a pizza and a steak for two dinner. I am from Nebraska where steak is king and I am telling you the steak was in my top 5 steak experiences! Incredibly seasoned and cooked. The pizza was unique and out of this world. If you have time for one sit down meal in Caraguatatuba, make it to Surf's.
