We were a group for dinner and the menu offered had a choice between shrimps, steak and fish. All the dishes showed up with the same risotto loaded with cheese, so heavy that everyone complained. I had the fish with this heavy-handed risotto, and the combination was not at all successful. Having been coming back to Natal for 10 years I have the feeling that cooking here deteriorated in time, tending to become ever the top, not light, not fresh and not what you expect from a place with ready access to the ocean and its fresh sea food and fish. The service was also horrible slow, some visitors fell asleep while waiting. Not recommended.

One must eat carne de sol to know what it is. We had a filet mignon (beef tenderloin) of carne de sol with macaxeira fries, green beans and farofa. Unforgetably good. The location is beautiful, with a nice view to the ocean. Service is attentive and careful and the food is a dream. Do not miss it.

The Paçoca de Pilão is a simple and very good restaurant of Brazilian food. When here ask for "Carne de sol" option or "Paçoca de carne" you will taste a single flavor of Brazilian food. You can ask a Budweiser for drink. When in Pirangi beach or Natal beach you should be here.

We were a group, and it is always slower to get good service for a group. But this was excruciatingly slow. And with errors. But if the food were great we could have suffered the long waits. But unfortunately the food was not good either. My main dish, of shrimps, was covered with sweet pineapple sauce that took a away the last bit of shrimp taste which was limited to begin with. Frozen shrimps re-cooked? I do not know. Maybe farmed shrimps that no chance the acquire their characteristic flavors. At any rate, a disappointing experience that was not made brighter by the lackluster desert of so-so chocolate with so-so vanilla ice cream. Quanto a espera, somos um restaurante onde todos os pratos são feitos com muito carinho, cuidado e de forma artesanal, o que implica em um tempo de preparação mais longo. Isto é explicado em nosso cardápio (em português e inglês). I was really impressed when the waiter opened the door for me.The modern and clean facade, the cozy environment and kind team made me feel very comfortable.The menu is very well balanced with options of plates that can be harmonize with wines, appropriately maintained in coolers.I do recommend for those who are willing to get out of the tourist's standardized routes and have new experience of senses.

Mina D'Ãgua is a self-service restaurant serving typical Minas Gerais food. The structure of the restaurant is identical to other well-known (and excellent!) Minas Gerais restaurants in Belo Horizonte, such as Xapuri and Dona Lucinha, that is, tables with a wide variety of salads, hot dishes and desserts (especially homemade sweets such as dulce de leche ). The restaurant is simple but cozy. The food is very well made and the service is correct. There are some typical products like homemade sweets for sale in the restaurant. The cost-benefit ratio is quite reasonable. It really is a restaurant that is worth visiting.

I had an excellent pizza, competently served by friendly staff. The manager was kind, and he was very complimentary about Dutch visitors. I was invited to watch a football match on TV with the staff as they got ready for the evening service. For Dutch visitors: "Lekker eten!".

We are astonished to spend our evening at the NAU restaurant, recommended by our taxi driver and hosts in Natal. Food and service are outstanding and worth paying a litte bit more than usual in Rio Grande do Norte. We had amazing octopus and shrimps with melted cheese for appetizer, lovely brasilian wine recommended by the professional sommelier (greetings to old Chicago times and Fogo de Chao!), and huge portions of shrimps with creamy sauce including dried tomatoes, olives and palm hearts for main course. Wine cellar in NAU is pretty amazing as well. That was our best coulinary experience on holiday :)
