Do not be fooled by he simplicity of the place. The food is just amazing! From the appetizers (like the delicious buschetta) to the main course, everything is just perfect, all under the close supervision of the Sandro.... He, an authentic Italian, loves to whistle and hum around, attending the tables and telling always funny stories.

In this pizzeria expect no meat ingredients! The pizza is very delicate and they are not overloaded with toppings, but all the ingredients are fresh and tasteful! Try the house couvert (ask for the cheese bread) they are delicious! They also serve during lunch time few home made pasta! The place has a casual and familiar atmosphere and a very good service and fair prices!

This was our first visit to Don Phillipe. By 9pm the place was packed and there is no parking except in the street outside and this was already full at 7pm. Teresopolis is much safe than Rio but even so it is not a good idea to be wandering the city late at night so a taxi would be our recommended mode of transport. My wife and I opted for the house specialty which is a flambeed cheese and spaghetti dish prepared by the chef at your table. You will definitely need to like cheese but if you do, you will love this. A starter of toast with pesto sauce is included with this dish. Afterward, since everyone else in the restaurant was ordering pizza, we decided to share a small one between us. The quality was excellent and the choices varied. No wonder the pizzas are so popular here. The base is slightly softer than at Manjericao (house of pizza) but the fillings are more generous. After this we were truly stuffed but still Monica managed to force down a desert! The wine prices are very reasonable yet only ourselves and one other table ordered. Washing down food of this quality with Coke or guarana degrades the taste and is almost an insult to the chef. Please people, drink wine or water with your meal. The service was excellent even for a packed restaurant on Saturday night and as this was our first visit the head waiter took time to explain a little about the food and history.Nothing to do with the food or restaurant, but what also pleased us was that everyone, including the large parties with children, were all so smartly dressed. Mostly we see restaurant clients here dressed like theyâve just come out of the garden or a trip to the supermarket. Lovely to see.Thoroughly recommended.

The restaurant has a simple taste food, as it is your grandmother doing your prefered food, but you have to pay too much for it. As it uses simple ingredients, it shouldn t cost so much. The service too is a little confusing and you have to wait much for your food, as again there isn t nothing elaborate for justify the waiting. For this price, you can find a more sofisticated rest. or the same simple food for less money

My wife and I were regulars at thew original Bistro but stopped going after several changes of chef and a downward spiral in quality. This was our first visit to Burrata with its reformed environment and we were pleasantly impressed with the whole experience. We arrived dead on 12 oâclock but the staff made us very welcome although they were obviously still preparing. Not being sure of the portion sizes we elected to go straight to the main dish. My wife ordered duck ravioli and I opted for the file tartufo. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and complimented by our Chianti reserva wine choice that wasnât too overpriced considering the general trend in restaurants. We were so intrigued by one of the deserts containing goiabada and cheese ice cream we ordered one each. They were served on a slate bed and were truly delightful. How many times have you enjoyed a great meal only for it to be totally f***ed up at the end by an insipid cup of watery espresso? Luckily there was no such issue here because the coffee is to the same high standards. We shall return.
