I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a kid, and it has always been the same, even now that I am in my early 40's. The owner, "Seu Elias", is one of a kind. If you have the chance to meet him, he is a very nice and friendly person. The restaurant is located in the crossing of Torquato Neto St/ Pedro Almeida Av, not so fancy, the atmosphere is quite simple with no sophistication. There is no air conditioning and some fans are not enough to relieve one from the eternal heat of Teresina. I love the food, specially sea food, fish, shrimps, lobster and so on. The restaurant has also a good selection of meats. Vatapa (spicy/hot shrimp cream style) is a good starter. Do not forget to ask for 'arroz de alho' (garlic rice) as a side dish and an ice cold beer to help you struggle agains the heat. Prices range from average to high. Twice a week customers can experience live music with some local singers performing good Brazilian popular music.

Sea food, specially cod fish, meat and pastas. A very good selection of wines, including the best portuguese selection. Prices above average. Many tables/seats in a very well located house, although have never met many people there. Love this place but am a little concerned about its future.

Saturday is definitely the best day to be there :) live music - pagode and feijoada. Best price-performance ratio in town. Wonderful music, great food - the service is a little bit slow but who cares itâs Saturday afternoon ;)

Coco Bambu is a great seafood restaurant, they have lots of options. I ate there twice while I was in Teresina for work. Once I ordered a Tilapia fish with moustard sauce and a banana pie with ice cream for dessert. Another day I ordered another Tilapia fish with butter sauce and potatoes with a caramel brownie for dessert. They also have lots of local and different fruit juices.Everything was delicious. But beware, all the fishes are for two or three persons, so if you are alone you will end up eating a lot a wasting some food. Also, the price for one person is very expensive. The place is well decorated and very confortable.
