Taken here by friends with whom we are staying whilst in Recife. Great welcome; lovely layout (make sure you can see outwards to watch the river in the distance), smiles all round whilst they offer you a small seafood soup (try it first before testing some of the spicy sauce!)Simple menu, explained in English as well that tempts you to some of their delights.A wonderful lunchtime experience

We stayed in a hotel near to this restaurant but since it is hidden behind our building we only found it by chance. Once it was explained that you can fill your plate from the buffet, then have it weighed and your card also marked with any drinks consumed we soon got started. There was a large choice of salads, soups and main courses all delicious and many cakes that we were unable to taste due to the large plates we had filled. We were unable to compare other restaurants but we know good food when we see it and this was excellent and not expensive.

I eat Peruvian food regularly and I know when I am eating good Peruvian food. This resteraunt has excellent Peruvian food. You will not be disappointed.Pros1. Polite waiters2. vast menu3. excellent delicious food.4. I ate a lamb/potato puree appetizer which was very good. And a fish fillet with prawns and rice main dish, also very good.Cons1. extremely expensive. A appetizer or a main dish more less costs 60 reals each.2. ambience is average3. service can be dodgy if restaurent is very busy ( but waiters as such are excellent blokes).4. a little far away from Bow Viagem. ( 25 reals by taxi).5. some of the items on the menu were not available.6. extremely busy on a saturday night. I suggest u go on a week night, for better service.7. Portions were extremely small for the price.Recommended for good Peruvian food in Recife.

We ate lunch here after a visit to the "Marco Zero" and the surrounding quarters which are pretty run down. Consequently, our surprise was great when we found the Leite in this neighborhood. Waiters in white jackets and the piano man playing some romantic Latin tunes. The menu continued in this mode by offering dishes named after Gilberto Freyre and Burle Marx. I had the plate with beef named after Gilberto Freyre and my wife had the seafood plate according to Burle Marx. Both were delicious.

We had our supper during the "happy hour" time. Ordered fried shrimps and risotto for 2, plus 4 drafted beers, which complimented our meal. We took a picture of our dish and compared to the same posted on their menu. That's why we didn't give 5*. We paid R$120.00 with a tip included. We were very happy when we received reviews like this! Come back to Camarada forever! :)

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They try to make you fell comfortable and to explain about the food . The food is well served and most of the dishes is fit to a couple and almost 3 people . The only observation is that it tend to attract a lot of people so itâs good to go early and book the table .I advise to taste the moqueca which is tasty and not pricey for the amount of food you get ;DWe were very happy when we received reviews like this! Come back to Camarada forever! :)
