Went here to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The service was outstanding! The moment a plate or glass was empty, a respectful member of staff was immediately there. Cocktail and drinks menus were great and there were salads, risottos and pasta dishes (in English too, helpfully!). The coloured Absolut wall changes colour, which is quite fun and the video screens make it all very modern. The entire restaurant joins in with Happy Birthday, clapping too! Great atmosphere. Loved it!

Trip advisor review of La Palma pizzeria, osteria & cervejariaLocated in Belo Horizonte, MG BrazilAddress: Rua Professor Jerson Martins, 146 Bairro Aeroporto belo Horizonte, MG Tel: 31-3441-4455The establishment has great decor with an outside area next to a fake waterfall but done quite tastefully.The lunch "executive" menu has some interesting dishes, including flounder filet, deboned baby rooster, grilled chicken breast among others. The system works like this:You pick you main dish and you have several kinds of sauces to choose from that come in small ceramic mugs. When your dish arrives, the waiter staff starts coming by with various side orders and you can choose as many and as much as you want. I found that there were so many of the sides offered and they come by one by one, that they interrupter our meal and business meeting. I said that they should have the green and red buttons like we used in churrascarias rodizios to tell the waiters to pause in the constant meat offers. One of the sides that I tried was a vegetable lasagna and it was very good. The galeto ( baby rooster) was cooked to perfection.After our meal the manager named Rildo came over to our table and asked for our opinions. My colleague who is a great fan of Trip Advisor told Rildo that I write reviews for TA and told him to be on the lookout for my review. We were honest when we told him that the restaurant had close to ( if not more) twenty employees and probably not that many customers, but the executive lunch (designed for executives that need to eat lunch quickly to get back to work) took longer to serve than is reasonable and we had to ask when our food was going to be served on two occasions. The manager was very appreciative and thanked us for our comments.My colleague told me that La Palma is owned by Ivo Faria who is well known in BH for his other upscale restaurant.I will return to this fine restaurant during my next visit to Belo Horizonte.BTW I almost never give a five star rating because this takes away the incentive to improve!

This is definitely the best place to have a pizza... They have so many different toppings and they also have pastel de angú, which is a typical food from Minas Gerais state. It's delicious. You should definitely try it.The place is simple. But the service and the food are spectacular!

Attached to the Raddison Blue hotel. I generally stay away from hotel restaurants, but came upon the recommendation of a local friend. There is a rather formal atmosphere, and while the staff was friendly, the service was slow. The pizza was mediocre, there are much better options available nearby at a better price.Hello ! In the middle of a disappointing run in with the associated hotel (separate review) we stopped in for Pizza. The Pizza was extremely good (as was the beer). Initially the order came out incorrect (with onions) and although we felt we could deal with it as is - the server insisted on getting it right - and they did (and quickly). I was in Belo Horizonte for business, staying at a hotel connected to this restaurant. We pretty much ate every meal at this restaurant as the food is so good and the staff so friendly. My colleagues and I don't speak Portuguese, but they have an English version of their Dinner menu, and all though their lunch menu is not in English, the waiter brought one of the hotel staff over to help translate for us - so sweet! :) Great salads and risotto dishes - everything my colleagues and I ate at this restaurant we enjoyed! Definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return!
