We ate here twice during our week long stay in Uberlandia. Food is prices by weight and there are lots of options. This place always had a good line of people. The food was good, the bathrooms were some of the cleanest I saw the entire trip. Ask for the special Pork from the churascuria guy.

I was taken here by my cousin who lives in Curitiba but has family in Uberlandia. It was so cool how the meat came out on roof tiles! We ate family style and had Cupim and Picanha and the cupim just melted in my mouth. I hope I can visit Uberlandia again and go to Estancia do Cupim!

We stumbled across this treasure while driving from Sao Paolo to Brasilia. It was just down the street from the Hotel Ibis, where we had stopped for the night. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and super attentive. We were seated immediately, and the food started flowing soon after. The hot foods (feijoada, rice, potatoes, empanadas, fries, onion rings, etc., etc.) kept coming to the table .... and of course the skewers of meat!!! I didn't keep count of the varieties after the first 3 or 4 tastings - my tongue was too busy wanting more. For cold foods, there was a large salad bar in the center of the dining area.I do need to learn more self control, because I kept forgetting to flip the red/green chip to stop the meat from coming to the table, so ending up leaving in total pain from overeating, but it was a happy pain. The total price, including several bottles of water, was US$29 for my wife AND myself (about US$12/person, not including drinks).Incidentally, neither of us speak Portuguese (except using a phrase book), and I think one of the hosts spoke some English, but language is never a barrier when it comes to good food!!!

The snacks on the menu seem endless and are all very tasty. We've tried three of them - Mini Maia (a small disk of meet and cheese), grilled coalho cheese and calabresa sausage - all of which were amazing! Also, the selection of beer is quite satisfactory. It does get a bit noisy since the area (at the back) is quite large and can hold well over 100 people. It seems cosier inside, and there was live music on - which we could not hear from the back.

I've eaten in this self-serve restaurant with family on every visit to Uberlandia over the past 16 years, and it remains one of my favorite places for lunch. It always starts off on the right foot because a bottle of cachaca sits at the entrance and guests are invited to drink a small shot as a digestivo before sitting down to eat. The hostess will hand you a blank check on the way in and you pay by weight for the food you choose from the buffet-style cold and hot bars. Don't forget to check the hot specials on the churrascaria bar if the chef is working the grill. With each plate load just stop and let them weigh and record the amount before heading to a table. Waiters will come around to get your drink order. The cuisine is an excellent selection of Mineiran standard dishes, so sample away and find the ones you like best. There's something for everyone here, and on your way to checkout, make sure to grab a free espresso and maybe a dessert to top off. This is a great place to grab a quick lunch by yourself, or come in with a crowd and leave with everyone happy.

We went here on our first day in Uberlandia and has a fun time trying all the different types of Pizza. Make sure you say "no" a few times as they kept bringing more and more fun types of pizza and I eventually was so full I thought I'd need to roll out of there. :)The Chocolate pizza and the Acai pizza were especially good at the end of the meal

I have been going to Tropeiro for around 20 years now. Same owner (who works there with his family every day), same perfect beef and delicious food. Better than famous well know restaurants in Rio, São Paulo or even internationally.
