The name says it all! Luiza's is only known for it's amazing grilled prawns - which are cooked (grilled) in a 'secret' marinade and served without the shell (thank goodness!). We were a group of 24 people and 18 of us ordered the highly recommended grilled prawns (for which Luiza's is famous for). We placed our orders one hour in advance and took to the nearby beach for a swim whilst we waited for our delicious meal to be prepared. Portions are single servings and are plentiful (ie: approximately 10-12 medium sized prawns per person - all for approx $15 - $20 Reis!). The restaurant is (literally) in the middle of nowhere. It is located approximately 1.5 hours out of Barrerinhas, and accessible by 4WD (4x4) only. Typically, you would only come here whilst going out to the Atins sand dunes.

Check out the bathroom. Unfortunately, I did not do that first. Service and food quality are of the same caliber. The best part of the service was that they almost didn't bring anything out of the kitchen to our table. Overcooked entrees come with white rice and potatoes. Not exactly savory stuff. O Canoa and Bambu are much safer bets. Price is lower than McDonald's but is no "value meal."

Fui numa noite que estava beeeeem cheio. Pedi ao atendente e ele disse que seriam uns 45 minutos para ficar pronto o pedido, mas demorou 1h e 30 min. Pedi um espaguete que era uma porção ENORME e bem gostosa.O preço é barato.

We felt very welcome by the young and friendly restaurant staff. We ordered a fish bites appetizer - that was so well-served that was enough for 2 people having a lunch. The restaurant is simple but charming with a view to the sea, lots of small tents with wooden "tables" and some hammocks for the customers to rest after lunch.

During our stay near Barreirinhas we visited this restaurant on the riverside twice. Nice ambiance and they serve some tasty fish dishes. Pizza too but we did not try these. Not expensive at all. You can sit outside too and try one (or two) of the many coctails they make.

The restaurant belongs to the pousada Encantes do Nordeste, where we stayed and which is great. Is on the riverside , very well located and all planned perfectly, in contradiction with the surrounding facilities. Very tasty food and friendly stuff! Relaxing hammocks and a big garden to spend time after lunch/ dinner! Highly recommended!

Our first dinner we had in Barreirinhas was at this place because we stayed at the hotel (by the way: also the best hotel in town. No doubt about that). We were a bit surprised: for Brazilian standards the food was excellent. And believe it or not: the pizza they prepare is definitely the second best pizza we ever had anywhere (if you're interested: the best Pizza we had was in Big Sur, California). It is so incredible good and delicious. We also tried other restaurants in town but we were always happy to come back. We loved Porto Preguicas.

This place got all kind of tasty food from sandwiches and fresh juices to delicious acai bowls. The acai comes with different toppings.
