Casa Verde is a small family apart hotel, with 6 comfortable units, each one with its own kitchen and balcony with hammock, cable TV, WiFi internet, daily cleaning, free bikes. The beds are queen size and have moskito nets. Two apartments can fit up to 4 people. Free private parking.
Our short 2 night stay in Casa verde Apart was great, the apartment had everything we needed. The host Marcelo was very helpful and sorted our transfers and looked after our luggage. Would definitely stay there again

Casa Inglesa is a newly refurbished Guest House in the heart Barra. The House has been tastely refurbished to a high standard. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, TV with Netflix, mini bar, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and electronic safe. There is a beautiful front garden and two rear terraces where you can choose to have your breakfast. The breakfast is extensive and we try to cater to all tastes. There are many places to relax and read a book or you can easily walk to Farol da Barra, Shopping Barra or take a swim at Porto da Barra beach. Casa Inglesa is situated in a quiet street away from the noise and traffic so you can relax and chill out. Come and watch the monkeys feed in the morning, you will be very impressed with the compfort and relaxed atmosphere here at Casa Inglesa. Our aim is to create a home from home but in a tropical climate.
Excellent location just a few minutes walk from everything you need: beach, shops, places to eat. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet, with good airconditioning (perfect temperature for a good night’s sleep). Very friendly helpful staff, and a really excellent breakfast with lots of options: fresh fruit, home made cakes, eggs prepared how you want. Highly recommended.

This is a classic place built in the 1920s with great charm, lots of polished wood railings and floors, high ceilings, wonderful tile work in the bathroom, nice balcony with a view of the city below. Stayed in a glorious big suite, very comfortable. Bathroom a bit antique but workable. Dining room nice with big wood tables opening onto the terrace. Breakfast OK but other meal service not great and food may have caused small tourista episode for me.

Some things are so good, you want to keep them a secret. But that would be selfish. The Hanalei is a friendly, family-run pousada on one of Itacaré's best beaches – Tiririca. I booked it more or less blind and was delighted to find a pousada built of wood which gently blends into the surrounding forest. I woke up every morning excited at the prospect of a sumptuous tropical breakfast consisting of a daily special along with home-made cakes, fruit, bread and many other delights, all with a view of the sea. My room was pleasant with a good, quiet air con unit and a mosquito net – essentials in this part of the world. I also delighted in my little verandah, which boasted a hammock. My only regret is that towels are only changed every three days, but the Hanalei's friendly and welcoming vibe more than made up for that. I can whole-heartedly recommend them.

Overall we had a good experience - the room was nice and clean, the air conditioning that is a MUST in Morro de São Paulo, was working perfectly - the bed was also nice and comfortable. The shower was also nice, but for us, the main ++++ was the location, which was perfect - it's located in front of the first beach, so you are always half way. The only 2 opportunities were the breakfast that wasn't good at all and that sometimes some drunk people were a little loud at the street and we could hear them from our room. If I come back to Morro I would stay there again :)

Brilliant location, walking distance to many restaurants and the beach, amazing view and very attentive staff. We couldn't ask for anything more! Rooms are clean and tidy, plenty of variety for breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and ensured we were happy at all times.

I was recently in Mucuge. I stayed at Pousada Mucuge. It was a pleasant stay. It is not a 5 star hotel. The room was clean. The AC sort of worked. Hot water for a shower. Good WiFi. The pool looked very clean, but I did not use it. Breakfast was good. I was there to do some local birding so I was not there for lunch and dinner. Overall I would consider it adequate. If you do not speak Portuguese, then you might have trouble. Very little English spoken in this town!
