Great choice, excellent wine and great food. Plus, vallet parking and wi-fi (wich is kinda rare in Manaus' restaurants)

The restaurant is very close to the main Square in town (San Sebastiao) but in a little street. The place is very spartan, the waiter spoke a little English but they had an English menu. The food is good and we can say "homemade". We had a typical Portugal meat dish. The day after (which was Sunday) we wanted to try the bacalhau (another typical fish dish) but the restaurants was closed, like most of the restaurants in Manaus during the week ends. Among the restaurants that we tried in Manaus this one was the best.

This is a small restaurant, that reminds you of the "cantina" style of italian family-run restaurants - but it is PORTUGUESE. The owners are of portuguese origins, and decided to replicate the dishes and gastronomical experiences that they most enjoyed from their country of origin, and bring a little of the portuguese experience to Manaus - with success. The small restaurant is cozy and welcoming, and the staff very friendly and hospitable. They will gladly indicate a dish that most resembles the experience you are after, if you ask/chat with them. The dishes are simple, but well made, and with a proper sense of the origins that they are intended to achieve. In short, a GREAT experience, with good food, in an ambience that is not formal or overpowering. If you are after a posh/luxirious experience, and prepared to pay much more for that, this is NOT the restaurant for you... but if you want to pay a fair price for a welcoming surprise - go for it, you will most probably enjoy every second!
