West Coast Floridians are well aware of the journey from I-75 to I-95 and that it leads through Starke. Nestled among the numerous fast food chains is this classic drive-in. It's well run, the service is friendly, and the quality is great. Even the bathrooms were sparkling, and this is an old establishment. That fact showed me that the owners here truly care about their customers. Get away from the chains and go original!

We stop here on our way to Jax when we are in need of a Starbucks quality bean just in a bolder flavored Italian "Elliano's" version.
We have tried their hot latte's and bought some whole bean by the # to go.
I do wish there were more locations, I know this bean is THAT worthy and I could say adios to the ever so hyped Starbucks.
They have SO many YUMMY flavor combinations that you shouldn't have any problem tickling your coffee bean fancy. :)
Of course we will be back they keep this up. :)

When traveling, we try to look for a local restaurant. Driving through Starke today, we found this little gem of a restaurant. The enjoyment was unexpected. They have a large breakfast and lunch menu which made choosing difficult. I went with a chicken salad on croissant with a side of home made potato salad as recommended by our absolutely charming waitress. The chicken salad had craissins in it and was very tasty. The croissant was a tad soft, missing that flakiness you would want. It was still tasty though. The potato salad was clearly homemade. My wife had a Turkey cranberry panini. Add cranberry to a sandwich and my wife is in heaven. We were sadly full at the end of the meal. I wish I had the piece of fresh strawberry key lime pie that was offered right now. The waitress told us she would be there next year when we pass through. It is on our to do list next January.

In 1968, we were just a local BBQ joint in Gainesville, Florida. Today, we're still a local BBQ joint. We just happen to be in a few more locations. But we still do things the same way Floyd "Sonny" Tillman and his wife, Lucille, did back then. We still slow-smoke over oak for up to 12 hours at a time. We still serve generous portions. And we still believe people should be able to go out to eat and feel right at home.
Very convenient location right on Rte 301in Starke, we like to stop her for a quick lunch when traveling throught the area. Food is always good, service fast and hospitable. Food was pretty good but fettuccini was bland-it needed more flavor and spice. Chicken parmesan, red sauce and garlic knots were better. Service was pleasant. Music playing was a bit loud for type of place.

So happy to find this place on a trip from Florida to Georgia. We left the interstate and we're traveling on highway 301. Stopped in Starke for dinner. It was excellent!!! Our server, Michelle, gave us her recommendations and we took them. Our meal was delicious and Michelle was great! I had the shrimp po boy and my husband had the chicken salad croissant. And of course-onion rings!!! It was a great meal.

During the >10 years this place has been open, I can honestly say I have NEVER heard ANYONE say anything negative about Laredo's!! (other than being unhappy when they are closed, or problems with parking at their poorly-designed parking lot in the back). The food is excellent! Well-priced. Family owned. A favorite of locals!

We have been here twice in the past month. The seafood is very good, It is not overly breaded which is a plus. You also have the option of fried, broiled and blackened on many items. They have a wide variety of sides . The limas, slaw and both the baked and sweet potatoes are great. However, they need to work on their greens as they were bland and tasted like they came out of a can. Overall, definitely worth the money because you won’t leave hungry!

Wanted to try something different, first with some friends, and eventually brought my wife and kids. Overall, the food is fantastic, and can honestly say I've had just about everything on the menu for the most part. Food comes out Fresh and Hot! Appetizer, Entrees, and Desserts are all great! Definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to try something other than the Starke Norm (Sonnys, Steakhouse Buffet, or Fastfood)

Very solid Homestyle Comfort Food just like the name suggests. Very reasonable prices and fast friendly service. The creamy chicken dumpling soup was very good. The dumplings were large and tender melting on your tongue. The creamy chicken broth was full of taste and not overwhelmed with salt. The tuna salad on rye was generous in size and the ingredients very fresh. The coleslaw was finally shredded with carrot and green pepper added. The slaw dressing was sweetened and tangy. A good stop for lunch
