We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our creative main courses, or just enjoy some comfort food for breakfast or lunch. It's fun for us to meet new people and, well, just make them happy! Our casual beach bistro focuses on unique sauces and contemporary, tropical-themed flavor combinations while maintaining comfortable portions. Lots of fish and seafood. Bar service includes a 130-bottle wine list, local beer, rum drinks, and house specials. The outdoor atmosphere is casual so you can be comfortable in flip flops. Belize's "Restaurant of the Year" award was presented twice to the Bistro in June 2011 and May 2013.
The Maya Beach Bistro is where my wife and I have always chosen to eat the majority of our meals when vacationing on the Placencia penninsula. The food never disappoints and the staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive. At virtually every meal, we met people from other properties all along the peninsula, that repeatedly came to the Bistro for meals. Great food, friendly service with a smile, and a beautiful oceanfront setting is why the Maya Beach Bistro is simply the best.

Relax in our garden & enjoy our "Asia de Caribe" cuisine --- combining influences of Spanish, Caribbean and Creole Cuisine with Pan-Asian cooking and flavoring techniques. You'll want to experience our "Signature Stacked Ceviche" --Local Fresh Snapper Ceviche Over Wasabi Guacamole, Fresh Cream, Red Chili Sauce and Lime Essence..... We're located in Placencia Village, across from the basketball courts.
My fiancee and I (along with another couple) decided to visit Secret Garden for our date night of the vacation. We were not disappointed! Owners Becca & Tobi greeted us, and even sat down at our table for good conversation. 3 of the 4 of us got the lobster tail special, and my fiancee the Chicken Maya, needless to say we all left with full & happy bellies. While prices are more on par with Canadian prices, the good quality of the food and the beautiful garden setting makes it well worth it. Easily one of the best restaurants on the peninsula!

Rumfish y vino is centrally located in the Placencia Village Square. Overlooking the ballfield has a festive and breezy atmosphere, and a cool ecclectic soundtrack. A GASTRO-BAR Central American style. From tapas & wine...to frosty draft beers & fish tacos, there is something for everyone to enjoy! AMAZING handcrafted cocktails made from fresh fruit infusions and housemade extracts. Ginger, Cocomut, Pineapple, Watermelon Mojitos and more. Small plates style dining plus great entrees and fresh and inspired specials daily. A place for locals and tourists alike. Rumfish y vino proudly imports all of their own wines too. Outdoor and indoor dining, and a big central bar with comfortable Seating for dining or just enjoying a few Watermelon Mojitos!
We loved our dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was quite busy but we waited at the bar drinking one of the restaurants specialty cocktails and waited patiently for our table. Dinner was delicious probably the best I had all week. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and make sure to drop by next door for some gelato

Chef Rob changes his menu on a daily base inspired by the freshest products delivered to us by the ocean and the land. You can have your meals prepared in the kitchen, or cooked directly at your table on a 700F hot Rock, the 'Love on the Rocks' concept. Enjoy a 4 course gourmet menu or 'a la Carte' options while zipping a tantalizing cocktail overlooking the Caribbean sea. We do welcome vegetarians and will cater to any menu restriction, within reason.
Chef Rob's was right next door to our villa and we ate here twice. Both meals were excellent and well prepared. Nice friendly staff and excellent food. His salads and vegetable plates are unique. He goes out of his way to find vegetables that the other resorts don't offer and they are very well prepared.
I had shrimp both times but prepared differently. I enjoyed them both. If you go to Hopkins don't miss Chef Rob's.

Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks, our open-air restaurant and bar is the perfect place to have a big family meal, grab a beer with a friend, or enjoy a romantic date. From breakfasts of fresh tropical fruit and eggs to casual lunchtime sandwiches to decadent three-course dinners, all of our meals use the freshest local ingredients. The Quarterdeck is lovely -- open air (no bugs!) and handsome in structure. The food is excellent -- a combination of Belizean food and continental. There are many options. Each night, there is a dinner special, and all were scrumptious: whole rock lobster, seafood stew, marinated steak, and a pit-smoked whole pig. the breakfasts are delicious. The waiters (Anna and Ronald) and the bartender (Pablo) are wonderful people: kind, helpful and friendly.

Just opened about 6 months ago - serves pizza and pasta, has a bar, sits on the beach with some volleyball and games at times, cute decor and great owners - expats from Canada. Really good pizza, nice break from the local food if you need it.
Nice little restaurant on the beach. Service was okay. Pizza was very good but expensive for just one large pizza. Washrooms were clean.

The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps from the crashing surf of the Carribean. We have delicious blender drinks, rum concoctions and ice cold Belikin Beer. Our food is home cooked style comfort food, made from fresh organic ingredients. We specialize in hand-cut french fries, burgers, chicken cheesesteaks, and Philly cheesesteaks. Our popular everyday option is a fresh large salad topped with shrimp, chicken breast or ribeye steak. Special diets are easily accomadated. Portions are ample and prices are low. Check out the daily $10 specials on the Pickled Parrot Bar & Grill Facebook !
We had lunch on Sat. And we all got the special coconut curry shrimp. She made it without wheat flour so my wife could have it too. It was great. Wanted to go back again for a special, but ran out of time.

Small Belizean, no-frills, family-owned restaurant focusing on big flavors. We offer meat and seafood specialties and regionally and internationally inspired dishes. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Four of us went to Dawns for lunch. This is a local favorite. We all agreed that it was totally delicious and fresh and satisfying. Great value. We sampled the fish plate, chicken and pork plates. All served with rice and beans. Very very delicious. Also great service, they do serve beer . You need a reservation for dinner, and even may not get in because its so busy and popular. Its a small place but really great

Above Grounds Coffee has established a direct connection with small independent farmers in Guatemala. Hand-picked, processed & roasted by small family operations. Their 100% mountain grown and 100% Arabica coffee beans are shade grown, hand-picked and then processed to organic standards. All fields meet elevation requirements for Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) grade and some meet the Fancy (F) grade. These two top grades (Fancy and SHB) total less than 2.5% off all coffee produced globally!
This spot is one of our favorite. The passion tea iced on a hot day, just chills you out. They also have coffee, chai and other cool snacks like frozen chia pops.
Their doggo is aptly named Java and loves when you pet him. He's usually chilling or sleeping in a shady spot and waiting for folks to give him pets and love.
The shop has cool art, local artisan souvenirs, and the best ambiance. You can see why locals and visitors enjoy that scene. The owner and her two kids (probably in their 20s) were very friendly, helpful and chill. We loved asking them questions about the area and chatting with them about their dog.
I would live here, in this shop, if there was a hammock.
They have a back deck that overlooks some beautiful old tree and is in the shade (which is premium on a hot day).
