Once a sleepy fishing village, Placencia has emerged as an increasingly popular eco-destination on the Caribbean. For those who enjoy outdoor adventure, the Stann Creek region offers a host of activities: hiking through mountainous rain forests, kayaking, deep sea fishing, diving and exploring Mayan ruins. The peninsula boasts 16 miles of tranquil beaches, with a lagoon to the west and the Caribbean to the east and lots of peace and quiet in the middle. Tour guides and dive centers offer a variety of excursions, with boat rides to the outer cayes an ongoing favorite. Also popular are guided land tours to Mayan Ruins or trekking the jungle trails of Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, where the first Jaguar Reserve in the world was established.

We are a tequila bar offering tasty Mexican & Latin Style grilled foods. Good drinks, good food, good ambience, good service...all at a reasonable price.
Weâve enjoyed several meals at the Yucatán. The nut encrusted snapper is excellent. We enjoy sitting on their deck at happy hour

We had high hopes, because the restaurant has a beautiful refined ambience. But the food wasn't great, and the cocktails were disappointing. Also, the waiters were overwhelmed, causing slow service. I will say that we were there Christmas day, so our experience may not have been the norm. Dear MAFlyer,Our sincere apologies that your experience was not what it should have been. Indeed as it was the holidays, our team, as prepared as we believed ourselves to be, found ourselves being overwhelmed with the rush of diners without reservations. We do invite you to give us another try to truly experience our 1981 restaurant and her Belizean inspired flavors should you be in our area again! With Kindest regards,PamelaGuest Services Manager1981/Naia Resort

Many thanks to the staff at Tipsy for a stellar good time! Brought friends to the bar and left with even more! Frozen drinks (specialty) are just wonderful on a hot humid day. New events nightly include karaoke, drumming, etc. Lounge at the bar, lower deck, upper deck, or right on the beach! Food is very good as well with specials daily. Many thanks to Sal, Gillian, Lydia, Nancy, Chino, Fabio, Annie, and the rest of the Tipsy Tuna staff!

Popped into Omarâs while exploring the town. It had come so highly recommended that we thought weâd give it a try. The place is BYOB (meaning they donât serve alcohol) and thereâs no cork fees. Be sure to ask whatâs available before combing the menu as some dishes were out of season. Overall tasty food, but poor service as the employees were more concerned w their own down time than tending to us.

Yrs the food was good. My wife has conch for the first time and enjoyed it. I had vegan cabbage rolls, one if the most innovative thing in the menu. I didn't see traditional belizian food. Or any locals. At the prices charged locals cantafford the place

Rumfish y vino is centrally located in the Placencia Village Square. Overlooking the ballfield has a festive and breezy atmosphere, and a cool ecclectic soundtrack. A GASTRO-BAR Central American style. From tapas & wine...to frosty draft beers & fish taco
Cute little spot in Placencia that offers tons of seafood options and some great drinks. The dragonfruit margarita was delicious!

We went to this hotel for dinner one night and we enjoyed the food, presentation and service. The ambient was nice and relaxed. Pool in front and a nice backyard of trees and flowers on the side. Tables and chairs were comfortable and they had 3 levels above ground, which made it romantic and interesting. Not ideal for younger active kids, but staff of the restaurant was very accommodating and understanding. The way we were treated made a big difference! It was a big plus. The place is expensive but the food tasted wonderful and was well presented. The lobster tail I had came in a nice glass cup. The picture is in my instagram danuza.aquino if you want to see it. It made me very happy! I also like the manager of grounds. He took time to greed us and explain the plants plus show us around. It was a nice experience altogether. I heard people say great things about the hotel in general but we were there just for dinner.

Small Belizean, no-frills, family-owned restaurant focusing on big flavors. We offer meat and seafood specialties and regionally and internationally inspired dishes. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Thank you for the most stunning meal that we had in Placenica..You should be No.1, the lobster was undoubtedly the best we ate in Placencia and considerably cheaper from the âresort restaurantsâ. Our adorable server Sarah was so charming and efficient. Thank you!! Xx

We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our
We ate at Maya Bistro last night and it was a really lovely experience. Definitely more expensive than our lunch at a local food tent but so worth it. The combination of flavors was spot on and we got to sit right next to the beach with a strong breeze to keep us cool.We shared two appetizers and that was plenty of food. Then we finished our meal with a divine peanut butter brittle ice cream cake (the brittle was perfect, not too crunchy). There were a couple of cute strays that were begging at tables. My kid was entranced âºï¸My only peeve was that the vodka I drank left me with a debilitating hangover the next morning (one drink only). It was supposed to be Titoâs but may have been one of the cheaper local brands Our check came to $72BZD for two ($36USD)
