Booked this through buya gift experience for a over night hottub garden room with a two course evening meal, breakfast and spa access the next morning with a beach hut experience. This place is lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful, I'd arranged for a banner to be sent there prior to our arrival of which the staff kindly pinned it to the fence in our garden area. Lovely place to relax for the night. Room was perfect for a couple, beautifully presented with a large bathroom. Lovely little garden area with lovely views. The evening meal was fab, could not fault any of it. We both thoroughly enjoyed what we had, breakfast was help yourself which suited us just fine, I'd rather pick what I want and how much. The spa was lovely nice and relaxing. I'd also booked my partner a bck massage which he said was good. All staff in the spa and the pub reception staff were all polite friendly and helpful. I would definitly stay here again. Its location its brilliant for exploring the roaches too

Last June my daughter got married and due to restrictions we could only have 30 guests. The Upper House were fantastic and made the day very special. As the wedding wasn't the one the couple had originally planned we had a further celebration last week with all the missing family and friends and once again the Upper House pulled out all the stops. The grounds, the food and the staff were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged a lovely breakfast for all the guests who stayed the following morning and the quality of the food again was very high. The bedrooms were perfect, clean and had everything you needed, including plenty of tea, coffee and bottled water. As several guests are coeliac and require a strict gluten free diet we asked the venue to make the whole day gluten free which they did with no fuss at all, meaning the coeliac guests could eat without the worry of cross contamination. If you are looking for a wedding venue you need to look no further!

Grade II* listed stables house our 5 Star luxury bedrooms all with hand made Vi-Spring beds. Breakfast is taken across the courtyard in the dining room of historic St. Johns House. 100 metres from The Garrick theatre and little more to all of Lichfields charms. Our breakfasts are becoming legendry only equalled by our service. St. Johns House... Traditionally Luxurious.
We had high hopes with this place but there are just a few things that St John's House need to get right. Importantly, the breakfast was fantastic. We had a room at the Stables. It was a hot day (for England) when we arrived. On entering the room, we found that the radiators were blasting. Only one radiator had a valve which we could turn it off. The reception kindly turned off the heating at the mains. Sadly the heating came on again after a couple of hours. The design of the bathroom was weird with the bog being right against the wall and (heated) towel rail.

Surprised to see the overall review mark being only 3/5 but having read the reviews, the majority of lower marked ones seem to be before the recent refurb. The thing that stood out most about our visit here was the warm and welcoming service. Staff go out of their way to interact with you and make you feel truly welcome. We are absolutely chuffed there is an Indian Mixed Grill restaurant in Tamworth as we have visited a lot of mixed grill restaurants around the Midlands. The food was really good. We opted for the large mixed grill and at first we thought the portion size was small compared to other Indian Mixed Grill restaurants we have been to. However, we both felt stuffed and struggled to finish the portion so we quickly changed our minds about the portion size. The keema naan was particularly good. I do wish their was an option to order curry sauce to accompany the mixed grill like you can at Champys Indian Mixed Grill in Walsall however, the food was still very enjoyable without this. The decor inside is also lovely as well as being clean. They also have a good selection of draught beers. Looking forward to visiting again!
