The sun almost always shines on St. Petersburg, the "Sunshine City" that enjoys an average of 361 days of clear skies per year. Combine that with 244 miles of glimmering coastline along Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, Boca Ciega Bay and the intra coastal waterways and you have one hot beach destination. Catch the sun, surf and sand at Ft. De Soto Park, or take a hike up the 37-mile Pinellas Trail. Enjoy a Devil Rays game during baseball season or escape to the shady oasis of the Sunken Gardens.

True Italian meats and pastas in St Petersburg FL. On the main road and very easy to find. Considerable parking but always full. The back is where the front entrance is. Place is always busy and pretty crowded in the narrow isles near the deli counter. If you dine in go to the Deli counter and take a number to be waited on, order when called, keep the number because that's how they tell you when your order is ready for pickup. Dining is at the end of the market, that's where you pay, get drinks, and sit at tables (no servers). Good variety of items from Italy and local Italian dishes as well. If you are looking for unique pastas, meats, salads, condiments, spices & wines this is the place. My personal favorite meat is the hot Italian sausage and pasta is the cavatelli. Love the place!

The dishes I tasted: lechon, both kinds of slaw, coconut (?) chicken, black beans/rice, maduros (bananas). Both of the slaws were delicious, but we all liked the sweet and spicy better than the jicama as far as flavor. The slaw was served in a pretty big box -- four of us shared the two orders of slaw and took half home. The lechon is phenomenal. The chicken is okay, nice flavor, but the lechon was just great. And the Cuban sandwich was also really good.

We were so pleased that we ate here when we visited the Woodson Museum next door. We enjoyed a warm welcome by all the staff and friendly, attentive service including samples of entees before we ordered and complementary dessert. The gumbo and jambalaya were exceptional.

Small family run British restaurant with good quality home made meals. Specializing in Fish n' chips and other British classics.
This was our second visit to Jacks London Pub. We returned with out of town friends, including a gentleman who grew up and lived as an adult in Worcestershire, England. We assumed he would enjoy the treat.
As it turns out, our friend suggested that JLG severely misses the mark as a British Pub. It is Americanized, as we (Americans) really don’t like British food and the way it is served. And lamb kidneys are hard to come by in the US as a result.
Our friend suggested that JLG did hit the mark with the service level. Restaurant service in the UK is notably bad.
So we’ve tried JLG twice, and probably don’t need to return again. JLG clearly has a loyal following, but don’t be surprised if this is not your cup of tea.

We were visiting the area and found this place on Trip Advisor. It seemed to be a local favorite. They have indoor and outdoor seating and don’t take reservations. So be prepared to wait. We sat inside which was a trendy, buzzing environment but a little loud acoustically. The wine selection while good was not extensive for a wine bar. But the food was fresh with lots of small plates to choose from including the build your own charcuterie platter which we shared. Also we tried the pig and fig flatbread and truffle popcorn. They also have a few full size entries available (pork, fish and steak). My husband had the steak which he though was good and well cooked though not the best he’d ever had. The olive oil cake dessert was light and a nice finish to the meal. Service was good but not excellent.

Contemporary American restaurant focusing on the finest ingredients. Proteins are free range, natural, free of GMOs and antibiotics. Seafood is sustainably caught or farmed. Located on Beach Drive across the street from Straub Park overlooking the Vinoy Yacht Basin.
We stumbled upon this restaurant, but couldn't be more pleased. The service was amazing (thank you Shane!), and the food was too. Would go there again in the future!

Locally owned taqueria specializing in homemade corn tortilla tacos, veggie items, bowls, tortas, homemade soups and daily specials.
Family of 4, adults and one upper-teen, are Tex-mex snobs, and we really enjoyed Casita Taqueria. Guacamole is a perfect combination of avocado, spices, and pico; and salsa was a great balance of smokiness and tomato..altho just a tad watery. Everyone enjoyed their tacos, and one veggie bowl was “so much better than anything I’ve ever had.” Chips were super-great, with just the right amount of saltiness, but not too much. We judge every place by Uncle Julio’s in the DC area and Merry Piglets in Jackson WY. Casita measures up! It’s super-casual tho: no table service; order at the register and sit at a picnic table, inside or out. Great neighborhood: kitschy and chill, and staff and customers are super-chill. Pitcher of margaritas was tasty, and the addition of lemon and lime slices was nice.

Family Owned Diner
I was told to try out this local favorite. My wife and I said sure, we'll give it a try. Turns out to be my kind of restaurant. Mom & Pop style place, great food, friendly, attentive staff.
Oh yea, the place was packed so we knew that the food would be great. Though it's nearly 50 miles from home, we're planning a return trip.

Since 1948, Leverock's has been providing great seafood and great service in a casual setting at reasonable prices. A favorite with locals and visitors alike.
Heard great things about this place and made it a priority to check out upon our first visit to the St. Pete Beach area. Food was good, but the overall experience was very ho-hum. Made a reservation in advance but that didn't seem to mean anything, since we waited a full half-hour to be seated. Mussel and escargo app's were good. Lobster tail entree was also good. Seafood mixed grille was mediocre. Wine list was a joke. Clientele was similar to Cracker Barrel. Wouldn't go back, unless it was to see the two hostesses, who were off-the-charts beautiful.

Business dinner. Service was perfect. Had the grilled octopus, and the cobia with pollenta for main. Everything was excellent. Great warm "doughnut" for dessert- really excellent. Descent wine selection, but could be a little more diverse. But, overall an excellent meal.
