We spent the nite in St Marys on our way to south Florida. The hotel recommended this restaurant. Plain, folksy interior and menu. Don't let the exterior or interior fool you. This place serves some outstanding seafood. We started with a crab chowder. We ordered cups, you get what would be a bowl in other places. I had mixed fried seafood platter which was almost perfect, the oysters were a bit soggy. My wife had a grilled flounder which she enjoyed. And they serve the best hush puppies that I've had in the south.

I was so glad to see a frozen yogurt shop finally in St. Marys! Went after church on Sunday for a special treat. Nice clean shop in strip mall by Aunt B's restaurant. Enjoyed being greeted by nice friendly gal who explained how the self serve yogurt worked. It was fun to build my own treat using three different flavors of yogurt and then progressing to the topping bar. You are charged according to weight. It was delicious and I plan to make this a regular stop on the weekend. They have a frequent flyer punch card. A good place to take the kids with nice seating.

The Riverside Cafe is conveniently located along the main drag directly across from the national park visitor center. They offer an interesting selection of greek specialties as well as a few seafood dishes. My wife enjoyed their pasticchio and I sampled the shrimp and scallop pasta dish with pesto sauce. Both came in large portions and were quite tasty.
Service was warm and friendly too. Be sure to save room to try their wonderful baklava dessert.

Found this place by chance on Siri’s recommendation and it was excellent! First if you can get past the New England Patriot’s flags, banners, and cooking apron then you should be good. First try an anti-pasto caprese bites or tomato, feta, cucumber salad followed by New England clam chowder. Then make sure to try meatballs or the panini for starters. Then a main dish like pizza-the dough is made in New York or meatball & spaghetti.
Follow your lunch with a cup of Illy coffee: espresso or latte, and that should do it. The place is nicely decorated with Italian vases, olive trees, rosemary, and plates. Feels like some of the places I visited in Rome, Italy with a front terrazza and deck on top floor. My favorite place in St. Mary’s, GA and a place I would come back to time again. A plus they offer military discounts here as well.

We have been serving fresh, local seafood since 1996. We are located at the West Marina in Historic, downtown St. Marys, GA. Please join us for a fabulous meal.
We enjoyed our meal and the seafood was very fresh. 2 people ordered shrimp and grits and they thought it was a bit heavy but one ordered grilled fish (terrific) and I had buffalo shrimp(everyone tasted and loved it). Atmosphere is missing and wine options should be expanded but food was good.

Excellent service. The waitress was very helpful being that we're not really familiar with Thai food. Had the Drunken noodles with chicken which had a creamy sauce that was interesting, different but not to weird. Very tasty. The homemade coconut ice cream sat on a warm bed of sticky rice with coconut milk. Yummy. Only offers military discount to active duty personal.

Mad Hatter is a wonderful and unique lunch spot. Limited lunch hours (11:00 am til 2:00 pm) but WOW! They know how to do lunch. If you want a traditional lunch this is not the place for you. Mad Hatter serves up delightful interesting and tasty salads, sandwiches, and soups with different flavored iced teas every day as well as hot tea of every flavor imaginable.. The scones are to die for, made fresh daily and served with fresh whipped cream and fresh jam. Lots of flavors to choose from. The service is very personal and everyone feels welcome. It is a small quaint place but it serves up an experience and food that is far from quaint or forgettable. It is a "must go" cafe when in the area.

We were in town on vacation and met some friends for lunch.
I was pleasantly surprised (maybe because I wasn’t expecting much after reading some of the recent reviews?).
At our table we had the chips and blue cheese appetizer (which was good), tacos, bangers and mash, a reuben, and shepherds pie. Everyone enjoyed their meal and our service was good.

This was my 3rd time going and I love it every time! I had Huevos Rancheros (Mexican style eggs with rice and beans), daughter had a kids plate, and hubby had French toast. Everything was delicious! Give this place a try and every other breakfast/Mexican place will feel subpar. Watch the hours since they are only open breakfast/lunch.

Service was phenomenal. Our waitress was new & so sweet and attentive. My husband had a bunch of stuff which he said was all awesome especially the buttermilk pancakes. My omelet & hashbrowns were perfect. I'd love to try their lunch. Locals inside were super friendly too. Cool little spot. Definitely our go to place when we return to St Marys.
