St. George is central to some of the most dramatic natural beauty in the American West, from the Mojave Desert to Zion National Park and the Pine Valley Mountains. While its summers are hot, St. George's mild and largely snow-free winters make it popular with golfers, hikers and bikers. In fact, Brigham Young wintered here – his home in town is open to the public.

Fantastic quality and variety of poke, but only open 11-3 M-F. Friendly and knowledgeable owner. Humble but spotless surroundings but must -try place for lunch or takeout when in St. George. Despite hours and decor, probably my favorite place in the city

Having been to many restaurants in Utah I dare to say that the Painted Pony St George is the best restaurant I have been to in Utah. Probably the only dissonant is the entrance to the restaurant (you have to go up some stairs located in a kind of deserted shopping ally) but let that dissonant quickly be forgotten once you are upstairs.
The menu is as it should be, 2 pages in total, with plenty of variety. I opted for the Phyllo Baked Brie. Brie can be a little without taste, but the berry compote and the roasted garlic provided with this dish make a nice harmony. Maybe just a little bit too large serving to my liking, it is as it is. My main was the Hanger steak, served in a nice red wine based sauce with broccolini and truffled ruffles. All great, meat cooked to perfection and served sliced already. Forgot to say, whilst waiting for your food they serve a nice basked of French style bred and olive oil to dip it in. All very well prepared and thought off.
Wine list per glass is also big enough, which was good as I was on my own and could not drink a complete bottle. I also notice the staff were continuously polishing the wine glasses to ensure they were not stained, small details but it proofs all is very well managed.
I finished off with a nice desert, a so-called cheese cake tower (it sounds bigger than it actually is). Maybe a little too sweet, probably to satisfy the local taste buds, to be overcome still, it was simply excellent despite the sweetness.

Irmita's Mexican Grill is is now Angelica's Mexican Grill, and is now open at 101 East ST. George Blvd. We look forward to seeing you at our new location.
Nice atmosphere and personal service. Best of all a simple menu of Mexican favorites, so each one is easy to attend to make to perfection. My wife really enjoyed her beef quesadilla. Frequently a quesadilla is lacking in fill and presentation but hers was toasted to brown perfection, loaded with meat and ample size. My beef burrito was the same - rather large. loaded with meat and done up to perfection. Unfortunately it seems rare for us to find a Mexican restaurant that satisfies us both so well with different selections, so that's another happy stance.

Very healthy/fashionable choices - quinoa and kale. But surprisingly they make it all taste really good! The rotisserie chicken is a winner with the combination of sauces they offer. Relatively fast service. One negative - they advertise alcoholic beverages, but was informed that due to...MorePeter, One of our favorite sayings is “Our food is so good you do not need any sauces; but our sauces are so good how can you not use them in our food?” Sounds like you would agree! Starting today, we are serving alcoholic beverages!

We were not very familiar with Japanese food, so we thought we would try this for lunch. WOW! They have "Lunch Box" specials for less than $9. We both had the steak teriyaki. It came with steak, veggies, California roll, and something else (I forgot the name.) The portions were just right. There were about four different sauces and rice. Everything was delicious! Lunch is the best time to go...before 3 pm. After that, be prepared to take out a second mortgage for dinner. We will definitely be back for lunch. There are several lunch box specials we'd love to try.

Good, appropriate sushi joint when you crave that wasabi experience in the desert. Rolls were done nicely, fish practices seem safe, sushi chefs worked well together to get food out fast, and servers were kind. I'm a sit-at-the-sushi-bar sushi patron to watch the happenings...all seemed well. I heard from others that their thai was pretty good, too.

I went to lunch with my bridge team--3 gals and a guy. We all ordered something different. I ordered perhaps the healthiest thing on the menu, the spinach salad with strawberries, craisins, feta cheese, and chicken. The others ordered fet. alf. with chicken, beef sandwich, and chicken parm. with a side of spaghetti (which I almost ordered).

Last night we went Bella Marie’s Pizza. It was really good. We had a chicken Alfredo pizza & a margherita pizza with basil, sausage & pepperoni. They make their dough daily and use no preservatives. It was really good! It does get crowded so be prepared to wait. It’s worth it though.

Great selection of breakfast items as well as their own twist on those classics. I had a carrot ginger lime drink which I thought was really good. Then the Hiker’s Benedict which was also delicious. The fresh fruit bowl for my kid came with fresh...MoreThis is the best news, Stephen. Thanks so much for taking the time to share. We ate dinner here twice. The pear and 4cheese pasta and the flat iron steak were great. But the second night we both had fish tacos that were supposed to be gluten free and my husband got very sick because he is Celiac. They reiterated that the dish was gluten free, but there must have been something on the fish or in the sauce. Made for a very rough night on vacation.
