The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with lar
It was pouring with rain and apparently we heard that the pub further down the street was full. We walked a bit further up and went into the pub restaurant side. They allow dogs which was good as there was one in our group. Overall, food was good and service from the young man behind the counter. Very friendly. However I had a burger which was a bit on the small and bland side. The other meals were all good according to the family.Dear Keith B,Thank you for your review. It's good to hear that you enjoyed your visit to us, and found the service and staff excellent, but i'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your burger as much as the rest of your family enjoyed their meals. I will pass this feedback to the kitchen team.We do hope that you will be back to visit us again soon.kind regardsPaul and the team at the Rashleigh Arms

My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions, and often take visitors there as well. We've never been disappointed by their choices on the menu, or their specials - but - was slightly disappointed by their Sunday Carvery, which was expensive when compared the fare available at other local restaurants.

The Holmbush Inn is a lively and friendly pub , situated in St Austell. The pub is family and dog friendly with a large conservatory that can easily accommodate large group bookings. There is a pool table and TVs showing terrestrial sporting events, The p
We are now becoming regular visitors to the Inn. The staff are welcoming and the food is consistently good. We are never disappointed. Yesterday we tried one of the sharing desserts, the Salted Caramel ice cream was served in a large glass, with marshmallows, and sweets. For the price, it was well worth it. We are now looking forward to trying the the other sharing dessert, chocolate fudge, with chocolate and vanilla icecream!!Thank you very much for this review, we are delighted you enjoyed your visit and we do look forward to welcoming you back again very soon!

We had dinner here twice during our week at nearby accommodation. On both occasions I had the mussels starter and they were simply the largest juiciest best mussels I have ever had, and a substantial serving of them too. The staff were friendly and chatty and helpful (especially fitting us in after we abandoned the neighbouring Sams-on-the-beach). I've marked them down one notch because their main courses are too large : everybody in a party of 8 failed to finish them.

A warm welcome awaits everyone at this traditional family run pub nestled close to the World Heritage Site of the Luxulyan Valley and the Eden project. Enjoy a walk along The Saints Way and call in for quality, locally sourced, home cooked food, all prepa
A welcoming local pub with lots of regular customers who, with the landlord, treat tourists with cheer and friendliness. Large portions of hearty food which is tasty and interesting. My friend and I shared a starter of pate of which there was plenty. My local meaty sausages were excellent with gravy, veggies and ginormous Yorkshire pudding. I couldn't eat all the mashed potato. I had a simple lemon sponge (my choice of no custard, ice cream etc) which was lovely: light and plenty of it !Would love to go again. My next visit, no doubt.

Very Informative. Lots of things the same as all brewing but the great thing about visiting different breweries is that they all have their own histories, differing displays and mainly different beers. I would definitely recommend. I tried a lot of different ales that I wouldâve otherwise not been able to as I donât live here in Cornwall and they are not available to me at home.

A pub serving award winning ales and great value food, which is served all day in the summer months. There is a large beer garden to the rear of the property with a secure children's activity centre. It is dog friendly, and promotes a friendly atmosphere.
Three of us were down in Cornwall, for cricket which unfortunately got rained off. We had though, booked a couple of night stay over in St Blazey, and decided to eat at the Welcome home Inn on the first night. What a lovely experience. Local, friendly, great staff, and pub food to die for. It was so good we went back on our second night and ate there again. Equally as good. Some great real ale, really well priced and a lovely atmosphere. If we were ever in the area again, this would be a must for a stop off.Thank you for your review and kind wordsWe hope that if you are ever in the area again you will pay us a visit. It is feedback such as yours that makes us feel that what we do is really worthwhile.Once again, thank you for your custom and the kind sentiment shown by your kind words.Kind regards Ken and Sue.

Please note the restaurant is now closed.
It's very much a locals pub, which is absolutely fine. However, it's dark and depressing and more of a drinking and pool pub than an eatery, even though they do serve food. The brewery really need to invest in 're modernising and emphasising more on the meals. It's been like this for years and had so many different managers etc. It's ideally situated on the main A390 so with a little bit of capital being spent and a more friendlier eating area created not to mention,a better menu selection, this little pub would be more popular with passing trade.

The Pier House Hotel and Restaurant in St Austell Cornwall is situated on the picturesque harbour of Charlestown with stunning views of the port and coastline of St Austell bay.
Charlestown is not short on restaurants, but this is the only one that has stood its ground and remained fairly traditional while catering to minority tastes and allergies (as you have to these days). Hipsters with deep wallets head for the Longstore up the road. I hear it's very good but I was entertaining elderly parents who wanted something a bit more trad. Trad is what you get at the Pier House - scampi and chips, fish pie, steak and ale pie etc., but they also do banana blossom 'plant-based' fish 'n' chips etc., so going for a nice balance. My mum loved her fish pie (although alas none of it was local), my dad was happy with his 'small' scampi and chips (definitely enough for a main-sized meal), and I shared a main of mussels in white wine and cream which was huge: hard to believe it was a main for one. I normally only order side salads for a shot of fibre and nutrition, and never expect them to be interesting. But not only was this side salad HUGE, but it was nicely dressed with a sweetish balsamic-based dressing and included nice surprises like cress. The chips that came with the mussels were delicious: crisp and fresh. Servers were very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere (in the back room at least) was cosy and relaxing. All in all, a very nice experience for my whole family. Well done Pier House!Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased that you all enjoyed your meals whilst on your recent visit with us. We look forward to welcoming you back in future!
