The hosts are truly wonderful people - my husband and I were so warmly welcomed and made to feel at home right away. It was our first time in Sri Lanka, and they went out of the way to make sure we had a lovely stay. We got an upgrade to a honeymoon suite which exceeded expectations, and the hosts (Mdm Kirosha, Mr Dayabelan and Raju - not sure if I spelled correctly) helped us even in our little requests to book a taxi, etc. Even our special requests during meals were met with a smile. The rooms are huge, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces. Mineral water was provided for, and mosquito nets were sufficient to keep mosquitoes away. Thank you so much! :)

I just want echo Laura's review below. This was a special family holiday to celebrate my Big birthday. We really wanted it to go well and chose our accommodation carefully. What a great decision to go to Sea Rock. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The 10 of us had the best time and have brought home so many wonderful memories. The staff were so helpful and accomodating in this perfect location. Our room was right there by the pool, lawn and amazing beach. We enjoyed a wide variety of tasty food, the kids and Chris particularly loved the chocolate milk shakes as we watched the stunning sunsets over the sea. It was all clean, well maintained and we had a very personal service. Easy Tuktuk rides to Bentota though we were very reluctant to leave the hotel it was so quiet and relaxing after our tour of the island. A perfect end to a brilliant holiday.

Located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle and within 5 minutes from the Sigiriya World Heritage Site, Back of Beyond Pidurangala is situated in a lovely unfenced 4 acre forest, a mere 5 minutes from the Sigiriya Rock. Offering you the best of rustic charm together with modern comforts, this retreat is a perfect base to explore the natural environment and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. Each of the 3 tastefully furnished cottages, each with its own verandah, is designed to maximise the impact of the surrounding forest. A 3 bedroom bungalow is also available for larger groups. Three tree houses, constructed newly are loved by adults and children alike. The retreat offers many activities including bird watching, hiking, cycling and excursions to Minneriya National Park, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Ritigala etc. Renowned for its excellent service from a friendly and caring staff, it's no wonder guests keep returning to Back of Beyond Pidurangala.
A two nights stay during our 14+ round trip through wonderful Sri Lanka. The tree hut is comfy and nice. Location very well. It was great to discover the area on the free bikes. It is both an easy bike drive to both the rock of Sigiriya and to see the sunset at the Pidurangala Rock (you could even walk there). Food in the restaurant was very disappointing. Really in no comparison with all the good food we had in Sri Lanka. Internet very unreliable.

Welcome to Riviera Resort, an idyllic, friendly family-run guest house in Batticaloa, on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. The Resort was established in 1982 and borne out of the desire to preserve nature and share our picturesque corner of Sri Lanka with guests from all over the world. Riviera Resort, which is within the city limits, has been a labor of love. We have AC and Non AC rooms and a 25 m swimming pool with a Jacuzzi
Friendly, low key place. Staff are very pleasant and will do best to accommodate you. It's absolutely fine for a couple of nights. What you have to be aware of with Riviera resort is some of the rooms are shipping containers. They are airless places with short (5 ft?) beds advertised as "couples rooms"! Sounds enticing but unfortunately it's not! This is my only issue. Apart from that the food is good and the staff are nice.

Located at 5 minutes walking from the center town of Nuwara Eliya, we are a 150 years old British Colonial bungalow, situated in front of the famous Victoria park, close to the main bus stand . We have 10 rooms all with attach bathrooms which are with bathtubs or showers. Some of our rooms also has fireplaces (deluxe rooms). You can enjoy the evenings by one of the oldest fire places of Sri Lanka, that we light in our lobby. This is the most beautiful, coolest place of our country which you must see on your trip to Sri Lanka. If you are looking for romantique, new and comfortable rooms, you can also check our new property , just next to The Trevene Hotel at Panorama Green View Hotel Nuwara Eliya. Please make sure to give us a CALL prior to your arrival to reserve your room with any of our properties. Don't forget to have a look at our Ella Guest house "Ella Grand Peak" Hotel .
So you can stay here quite cheaply, and what you get is ok for the price. The rooms were big enough and they appeared clean. The staff who checked us in reasonably friendly. We saw no other guests there, and having decided to leave early the building was just empty; no staff no guests. If we had stayed I think it would have been an ok sleep in a cheap clean budget hotel. If I look at all previous reviews here, it seems like we have lots of guests partying and eating together, with the staff cooking up fantastic meals and experiences. I dont know who is writing these reviews, but it is just different to what we saw.

Comilla Bungalow is a 3 room Deluxe Boutique Bungalow Registered With Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. Comilla Bungalow is located close to the historic town of Wathurugama where in the last century B.C., King Walagamba built a series of rock temples. This can be a haven for the modern traveler as the region is blessed with meditation centres providing ample opportunities for the weary to practice peace and tranquility.
We booked Comilla Bungalow over a weekend for a family get together of 5 siblings and 5 spouses. The cuisine was amazing , both Sri Lankan and Western. The location is so convenient and the layout of the bungalow is absolutely marvelous, so are the furnishing and the room amenities. And the hospitality is so warm and friendly. We were so sorry we couldnt stay longer.

The Hibiscus Garden Hotel has ten comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, located in separate chalets, which consists of air-condition and minibar. In the open-air restaurant you can experience the exquisite kitchen while enjoying a wonderful view of the emerald green fields and the nearby mountains. In the beautiful garden you can relax at the pool or we can offer you a BBQ evening in a quiet place at a small river.
This is a superb place to chill out before or after a safari or long journey. We really appreciated the pool and garden, complete with monitor lizards and lovely flowers. The restaurant was top notch and staff extremely friendly especially to our toddler. The chicken curry was particularly good. All in all, a great package!

After only five days into our 20 day tour of Sri Lanka we arrived at Sweet Cinnamon and after a long day of travelling, were warmly greeted at this delightful oasis with a cup of tea and delicious cake. Our driver received some information , that because of the Coronavirus, the airlines were cancelling many flights and that it would be prudent to go back to Negombo immediately to be close to the airport. We explained this to our host who was most understanding and said he would not charge us for the night. We did have a chance to look at the rooms which looked comfortable and spacious. On our return home we discovered that Agoda charged us and did not pass it on to the owner. We had a battle with Agoda and so contacted the owner and with his very kind help finally were reimbursed. We cannot express our gratitude more to Sweet Cinnamon for their understanding and kindness. We would certainly book there again when we can return to Sri Lanka and resume our trip.
