Skopelos (Greek: Σκόπελος) is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region. Skopelos is also the name of the main port and the municipal center of the island. The other communities of the island are Glossa and Neo Klima (Elios). The geography of Skopelos includes two mountains over 500 m (1,640 ft); Delphi (681 m/2,234 ft) in the center of the island, and Palouki (546 m/1,791 ft) in the southeast. With an area of 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) Skopelos is slightly larger than Mykonos (85 km/33 sq mi) and Santorini (73 km/28 sq mi). The nearest inhabited islands are Skiathos to the west and Alonissos to the east.

Lovely little coffee shop just 100 yards up from the front tried lots of coffee first few days but when this one found visited daily to pass away an hour or so watching the world go by whilst sampling very nice latte . Lovely fresh fruit juices as well as beers and snacks and toasted sandwiches available . Friendly young couple own and run it . We consider ourselves âregularsâ here now. A wonderful team working hard to make our holiday special and they have succeeded two years on the trot. I was humbled they remembered us from last year, their open and friendly welcome, sense of fun (referring to hubby as The Boss) huge smiles, and supreme efforts to enable the 6 of us to sit together and knowing our individual preferences, whether we came during the day for snacks and coffee or in the evening for cocktails. Absolutely brilliant guys, efgaristo poli! (Thank you very much!)Just to advise the rating buttons are not working for me, but itâs 5 for service, food and value.

We spent three evenings there and we had great drinks, cocktails and coffees there. The music was good, the decor intriguingly, colorful and the service was kind as well. Every special wish (our favorite: half lemon, half Cointreau with lots of ice cubes) was fulfilled and we had three great evenings there.

This is the go to post, pre. meal/anytime for a drink. Great coffee, superb Icecream and mainly, the staff work their butts off making it the best place to hang out in town. We didnât have a meal here but as a cafe....top class!

We've been at Plateia 3 times, the first for a drink and other two for lunch.The place is wonderful, this small square is a real gem.In the Greek style they don't rush to serve you, you have to wait and ask. On the 15th August we had to wait till 2pm, since they weren't willing to serve lunch before. At first it seems, and we had the same feeling in other bar/restaurants in Skopelos, that they're not so pleased to have customers, but then you realize that it's the island laid back style.The food is very good and not expensive.The portions are big. Some dishes are quite oily and too fried, for example the meatballs were too fried and served with too many fried chips.We would recommend the grandma's moussaka, the mouton in the oven and the grilled octopus with grilled vegetables.Very good also the baklavas and the homemade lemonade.

We went there three times - twice for breakfast and once for late lunch. Food is great, although menu is quite limited. We tried omelettes, pies, falafel, carbonara and some meat. Everything was very tasty and in super reasonable prices. It is worth mentioning that it takes them time to prepare the food, therefore better go there when you are not in the rush. Really worth stopping by, especially if you stay in the neighbourhood.

You have to try it!!!The place is so cosy, the music is perfect and the stuff is so friendly.We had some fluffy pancakes that were soooooo yummy and smoothies.We are going to stay on the island a couple of days and definitely we are coming back for some wraps,maybe a salad or some nuggets perhaps....we'll see what to order.You have a wide range don't worry.
