.The big problem with this restaurant is actually finding it . . . It's in a back street in a working-class district on the outskirts of ugly old Algeciras. But it's worth making the effort to get here. You can see where it is on Google Maps. You drive up past the prison, turn right, then left . . . and you see what you think might be a restaurant, but the name outside is Kiosko El Gorileo . . . and you can't find a door to get in anyway . . .But the Gorileo is next door, you can't see the name easily of Los Remedios, so go round the sort of outside awning, and inside you'll find a handful of tables on the pavement (but under cover of the awning) and a small bar. This is Los Remedios, and you would do well to ring and book, by the way, especially at weekends and holiday times. 956-605-958. Because although it looks very modest with paper table cloths, in a very modest part of town, it is very popular and fills up fast. This is because of the fabulous seafood that it serves.9 of us on a Tuesday lunchtime ate - and drank - very well for about â¬30 a head. Tomato salad, roasted red peppers with tuna, boquerones, calamares fritos, salmonetitos, almejas, mejillones, acedias, esculpinas (yuk - raw shell fish, hate it), and two giant crabs which were delicious. 3 bottles wine, beers all round first, water, puds, coffee, and a free Chupito to round off.If you haven't realised by now - it's fish. Seafood and fish. An enormous choice.I'll now say that the best way to get there is what half of us did (there's only on-street narrow parking, you see). We parked our car down in the Corte Ingles free underground carpark. Walked through the store and out the front door to the taxi rank, and got a taxi up. We then strolled back down (45 minutes, down hill all the way) to get rid of some of the alcohol and calories..

We came here as the reviews seemed ok. What a shocker. The menu looks ok, not stunning but an ok range of dishes - the service was none existent, one girl more interested in chatting at the bar. The food was cheap and thank goodness as it was terribly basic.Avoid.Muchas gracias por visitarnos. Un abrazo

Perfect localization just on the beach and gorgeous food. it was very crawdad in September, so I spend more than 20 minutes to order a beer, than next 30 minutes waiting for a table... but it's worth to wait! More like local family bar than a restaurant, but I really love this kind of places.

The best seafood in Algeciras and extremely nice service! 15-25 ⬠person, rustic place, fresh fish, where the locals goes. Once we tryed, we came back again and again! Every day the fish is different, thats why you need couple of times at least. Suggested virgin loabsters, or red king prawns called "gamba roja" the signature of the chef. The fried blue fish are also amazing, together with gold fish and local octopus! The place is not romantic but extremely authentic and genuine, the service is all made by the owner which is a character! He doesn't smile but it makes you smiling! He makes sure that the meal is all best suited for you. Again it is the place where to eat fish here.

Went there on a Monday night and not many patrons, although it did liven up a bit later on. It's a very interesting restaurant of about 4 separate areas with lots of tanks of live fish, lobsters, etc, so seafood is an obvious choice and our shellfish starters were very good, but then I made the mistake of really feeling like a piece of meat and asked the maitre d' if they had anything he could recommend. He replied that the steaks were excellent, but they were tough and had that horrible over-aged and slightly rotten taste. I guess that I was really stupid to expect good meat in a seafood restaurant, but I did specifically ask!! Then the deserts were really grim, with the cheesecake being completely bereft of any flavour or agreeable texture. Also, our waiter was really strange and left us feeling quite uncomfortable. Finally, the house wine was bland which goes against the golden rule that any house wine should be of decent quality and not just the cheapest plonk. Adding all of this to a very expensive bill meant that overall it was a very disappointing experience and I will not be back as other restaurants nearby, such as La Ragua, offer so much better quality at about half the cost!

Was working at a power station about 2km from Willys. Whilst there we were advised that Willys was the best fish restaurant in the area so myself and my work colleague Jason decided this would have to be tested. Now I eat a lot of fish but Jase is more carne man but what the heck. We arrived at the restaurant and immediately we had a problem, my Spanish is not good Jason has some and Willy and his Granddaughter don't speak English. We were struggling along when the chef popped out and saved the day as he speaks some English. He helped us through the menu then went off to cook for us. I had fish (a type of dorado) and Jason had a fillet mignon. When the food came it was stunning, my fish had been cooked firstly in the frying pan then finished off in the oven coated in a tasty sauce full of garlic and herbs yum yum. Jason tells me his steak was great but to large. We returned a few days later and again we were not disappointed. Definitely wort a visit.muchas gracias, perdonen nuestra falta de idiomas, nuestro Chef siempre atiende personalmente para poder ofrecer nuestros platos de comida, y que ustedes disfruten en nuestro resturante.un saludoPacoThanks.....

Visited with family and friends (7) for dinner in June. My local prawns were excellent as was the sole my wife had. Octopus and bream not quite so good.Interesting location with amazing view of Gibraltar from the beach but spoiled by the oil installations!
