I was first taken to this place well, lets just say decades ago !! in the 1970's. The place hasn't changed (apart from having Wifi). Went last week for a family birthday. We almost always have the same shared food choices. That is, Sopas Mallorquina (I think that is my favourite), Fritio, Blood sausage (2 types) a bowl of snails and to follow Lamb Chops. All cooked on the grill in the corner of the room. We always start with a plate of P'am Boli, toasted of course, with tomatoes, and olive oil. You have to just have the one piece or you won't make dessert !! If I have room, I always have their home made Almond ice cream, usually I have it with a shot of vodka (I know, that's what I thought too, but try it, you won't regret it!!), but as I was driving I had just the ice cream, which is still great. With the coffeet they bring two bottles (sweet and dry) of their home made Hierbas. The trick is to mix a bit of both, and enjoy with a coffee (or two) when not driving. The wine, unless you chose a bottle they will bring you a jug of to be honest a bit basic white or red wine, which is improved by adding gaseosa, The place has been run by the same families for years, and is hugely popular with locals and tourists alike. If you go on a Sunday you will have to book or wait for a table. Is it 'Authentic' (Rough and Ready), yes. The food is basic but well cooked from quality local ingredients, and from meat suppliers close to the restaurant that also are the same for decades. There are I am sure many similar places, but I have been coming to this one forever and apart from the prices (which are still low) it hasn't changed. If you want a genuine experience of Mallorca, this is as real as it gets, at least as a dining experience. Try it. You might get hooked too!

We had dinner here on a Monday night and the place was pretty busy. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the ambience inside was modern. The Amuse Boucher set the tone - delicious olives served with a something that was halfway between a foam and a cream cheese. It was delicious whatever it was. We shared a starter of medallions of foie which were grilled and served with toasts and tomato marmalade. Again, absolutely superb. For mains I had. Confit of duck which was very tasty and Mrs Expunklondon had cod with tomato and peppers - beautifully cooked cod steaks. Overall, an excellent meal.

Both starters and entrees were of very good quality and at very adjusted price. Service is friendly and always trying their best to serve. The owner made sure we had enough food and were happy to come back regularly which weâll sure do!!!Highly recommended.

We decided to try this restaurant based on reviews we read and the website. We were really looking forward to finishing our holiday with some traditional Majorcan faire. To say we were dissapointed is an understatement. This was by far the worst meal we ate during our stay. There was no ambience in the restaurant whatsoever. I ordered a fillet steak and it's the first time I can remember leaving half of it as it was that bad. My partner ordered suffer aubergine and our 5 Year old daughter had what we thought were chicken nuggets only to be served with some croquettes. The steak was most definitely not fresh. The other dishes was very salty. The house wine was unpalatable and was left after a couple of sips. I rarely leave bad reviews but when your complaints are ignored and your not even offered a partial refund or complimentary drink the house did nothing to compensate for our dissatisfaction. My advice would be to avoid this restaurant and try Es Cruce up the road which is not only significantly cheaper but the food is far better.
