This was the luckiest thing ever happened during our holiday in Tenerife! The loveliest staff welcomed us on a late Christmas eve in an awesome pirate themed spot; great food, perfect atmosphere, and the best liquor-after-meal own creation of the owners!(ask about it!!) Definitely recommended! Muchas gracias pra todos :)Thanks for the feedback :) and we are glad to see that you liked our Cafe Pirata :) hope see you again

Spain is famous for petroleum stations and cafes collaboration. You can easily find restaurants and cafes which are located near these stations and they are usually busy all day long. Cafe El Mirador is situated near Cepsa gas station in Los Realejos. I have been here many times, almost every time while visiting Puerto de la Cruz in the north side of the island. This place was crowded all those times. Interesting fact, that usually local people, not tourists are enjoying this cafeteria.I have to mention, that the view is fantastic. Really worth a visit only because of it.El Mirador offers quick spanish food and plenty of desserts. You can choose from a great variety of bacadillos (baguette sandwich), square sandwiches, toasts, salads, burgers, croquettes and potato dishes. Dessert table is full of cakes, pies custards, doughnuts and ice cream. This place is great if you want kill the worm in your stomach. If you want to have exceptional lunch, this not that place. It is already became a tradition that we order papas super locas (6.05 eur). This dish is a best seller here and most people come here because of those crazy potatoes. Ant they are crazy for a reason. Look at the picture! What a size. I have seen several times one person eating it all. We take this dish to share for 4 persons and it's already too much. As you can see from the photo, this is not a fancy or heathy food. Not at all. Just huge amount of french fries (but not oily) , three different meats - pulled beef, pulled chicken and pork ham, cheese and three different sauces. Uhhh... This plate is a killer.Pulpo a la vinagreta (7.90 eur) or cooked octopus with fresh tomato, onion and paprika with vinegar. Fresh vegetables, tender octopus and a bit of acidity is a great refreshment after that enormous bomb. Easy and simple. Bocadilla is a spanish baguette sandwich. It can be prepared in numerous ways - with jamón serrano or jamón iberico, tortillas, cheese, fish, squid rings, chicken, etc. We took one bacadilla especial with fresh tomato, cheese and jamón serrano (3.20 eur). Quality serrano, quite raw tomato and not very enjoyable bread itself. Next time I will not order this again. Finally, dessert time. This place extinguishes from others with its dessert table. Ordinary cafe not a specialised pastry shop, but variety to choose from is fascinating. Style of those desserts is another question. This time I decided to choose never seen here before Snickers dessert (2.35 eur). I know from past experience that I can't expect great sweet things here, on the island. Once again I realised that it's true. Average mouse, a bit of caramel, not salted peanuts and a small piece of Snickers bar isn't heavenly.
