Mouthwatering cuisine from local fresh produce . The restaurant is located in the exclusive setting of the 15th century wine cellars of the palace of the Duke of Najera. Food, Wine and History create a truly unique experience to enjoy any day of the week.
We liked the ambience of the restaurant a lot due to the unique mixture of old, but renovated building structure and the modern furniture style. And this was topped by the very friendly, professional and customer orientated waitress. One of us had started with an excellent Salat with goat cheese, and an almost rare cooked T-bone steak. The meat was nonetheless tender full of a wonderful taste. The other one had a regular mixed salad not on the menu with pork. Those was delicious. That altogether with the dessert and the Crianza local Rioja wine emade it a unique experience. Really lovely chatting with you guys. I'm really glad you had a great time and I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Say hi to your brother for me. All the best

Welcome to the 19th, the new restaurant and bar in Logrono Golf in the Park La Grajera Traditional Rioja kitchen, with a wink haute cuisine based on fresh and seasonal but mostly premium. Specializing in traditional daily menu; we also offer an executive
All what is written about the restaurant is true.Food and stuff marvellous.

Found this place on a driving trip from Bilbao to Briones during an outing to the Rioja region with my Spanish parents-in-law. Briones was lovely but everything is shut on Monday. It's 2:30 and my in-laws are not the types to enjoy some shrivelled up tapas in a sleepy bar. The search for a restaurant was on. Everything for miles around was shut and phone calls to possible destinations went unanswered. We went to Fuenmayor on a punt. Everything shut here too except one place with an open door. Restaurante El Valenciano.Valenciano is run by a husband and wife team. Hubby is front of house and makes the deserts. Wife does the rest. Service was extremely friendly and it was a pleasure to dine here. The menu was sensibly modest and manageable in size. We were recommended a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and they were very good, albeit slightly overcooked in the Spanish style. Our mains were merluza (hake), and roast lamb, both very good. Deserts were excellent and creative. To sum up. Delightful and tasteful restaurant; excellent service throughout and very good food. You might consider other places but on a Monday it's a no brainer.

Fuenmayor is a tiny town taht is easily overlooked when driving around the rioja region. The innkeeper recommended it to us when I asked for a place with authentic food. She said this is where her family gathers to celebrate special occasions. I was nervous that it would be expensive and it wasn't. There are 10 tables and when we arrived at 2 pm (standard lunch time in Spain) the place was filled with locals. We had soup, bacalao riojan style, grilled vegetables, baby lamb chops, a bottle of wine, dessert and coffee for under $50. The grandmother does the cooking and you can see her in the kitchen preparing your order. Its a family place and definitely worth going to.

A group of 9 of us visited this little Spanish Gem earlier this week for a relaxing lunch whilst visiting nearby Riojan Vineyards.. The food is stunning, a mixture of Hams, Fish, Vegetables and delicious bread followed by Slow Roasted Goat with excellent wines will live long in the memory....

Didn't look like much when you first enter and not much English spoken. Very local. But the owner couldn't be more helpful and kind. He basically, asked what we wanted to eat (no menu) and how we wanted it cooked, suggested a starter and dessert to accompany it and wine. The food was excellent.Rioja wine choice was fantastic and inexpensive. There was a local group doing wine tasting in the restaurant when we were there.Highly recommend this restaurant

Recommend by the concierge at Marques de Riscal hotel, we booked a dinner reservation at this charming Asador. An asador is a Spanish grill house, or steak house but not limited to beef. Lovely charming interior with attention to detail and service, we were explained the recommendations and answered every questions we had with the menu item. The first item arrived was the consommé soup and what a delight it was; intrigue flavor profile, delicate tastes hitting every taste buds. From that point, we know we are in for a treat and it turned out to be one of the best meat we have ever had in Spain.

A proper local restaurant offering great food at fair prices and very flexible when looking after my gluten free wife. Veal and tomato salad winners but the croquettas truly historic! We try our best to cater for all tastes and all dietary requirements and we are delighted your wife could enjoy her meals. It was a pleasure to serve you and the greatest compliment you could pay us was that you came back; not only once, but twice more in such a short space of time!We are truly grateful for the positive feedback given in your review, which in turn inspires us to work harder. We look forward to seeing you again next time you are in town. All the best!
